Umm yes... That why I said its similar to LR, which it is/was.
You are sounding kinda defensive there. XD I was just asking.

Oh well that's great then! The battle system in this game looks like it could be the best in any ff game.
Don't let purists hear you say that lol

That's a tough question but I know the answer wouldn't be XV especially having played Duscae myself. X-2 and XIII's battle systems stand out to me while a lot of other ones get samey. I enjoyed Bravely Default's system as well and I know it's not officially a final fantasy title but it might as well be.Lol I was thinking of you specifically when I said that. I actually like the battle system of almost all the games I've played so far XIII-2 being my favourite XV's just looks even more fun. What's your favourite?
This is why I liked it. It's almost like a faster version of FFX-2 switching between jobs in an instant.I hated XIII's system so much... The worst part is it's actually really deep and strategic.
You don't have to use auto battle so I'm not sure how it fucked over the gameplay. I believe there's a setting that puts the cursor on abilities by default so you never even have to touch it. It's been a long time since I played so I don't remember any lose conditions other than everyone hitting 0 HPBut Auto battle and the dumb lose conditions really fucked over the gameplay and system Imo.
Its not everyone hitting 0HP it's the player hitting 0HP... Your party could still be in green and it's still game over. This is why I liked it. It's almost like a faster version of FFX-2 switching between jobs in an instant.

I don't think the XII remaster is coming any time soon, it hasn't even been officially announced yet. ):That was about 5 years ago though before I was really into the series so when the HD remaster comes out ( maybe this year ) I'd like to get it. Not to mention the international version replaces the licence board with a job system.
That's weird, I got the opposite impression that duscae was like a simpler type-0.In my opinion FFXV's battle system looks way more similar to the one in Type-0. After playing Duscae i started Type-0 and i was like "Oh wait, this is just a simpler version of the FFXV demo's combat system!", maybe this is the reason i ended up liking it. The only big differences i can find are the inputs to dodge/block/heal and that in Type-0 you can only have 2 offensive magics/abilties at time (but it lets you switch characters in combat), while in Duscae you can use all the ones you have.
Oh.... you made me remember that there's a monkey hunt quest in Kilika wood during chapter 1 [?] Those monkeys were so well hidden that it took me like 30 minutes to find them all even with the help of an image featuring the locations of the monkeys in the map.........Thank god I finally got to chapter 3 of ffx-2 this game is satanic! The walkthrough I'm looking at for tips is no where near helpful enough.
