Guilty Gear Xrd (UPDATE: Arcade Version Opening!)

Game sharing isn't the same as owning the game and I'd wager most people don't use it. It didn't sell because people didn't find it worth the price, same with any other product. I love it but $60 is steep for what is on offer for most.

I think a lot of people are just busy enjoying the million other animu fighters on the market and waiting until the upgraded version of this releases. These days if you're not SUPER hardcore into something it's foolish to buy the first release

i-no isn't that hard since they made hcl a lot easier but her combos are still a little tricky to do, even though it is slightly difficult it's still really really fun

I dunno. I'm kind of glad they're easing us back into the series with a mix of new and old. It gives them the room to develop the newbies better.

That said, if they make any veteran paid DLC and NOT part of the the eventual Xrd+ HD Turbo Remix & Knuckles, I will be pissed.

So until Bridget comes back, and because I like puppet characters in ArcSys games, I decided to use Zato-1. Game is still trash without Bridget, but Zato-1 will fill the void for now.

The Limited Edition version has to be the best LE I've ever seen for a game. Talking just about the case too, the contents are pretty standard for an LE.

(sighs) So I guess I jumped on the GG bandwagon as well. Saw the PS4 game yesterday at Gamestop and broke down and got the damn thing. Never played a GG game in my life. Got Elephent or whatever that bride bunny thing is for free and Sin for less than $3. Have to say really having a hard time adjusting. Tried tutorial mode and I'm completely lost. This will definitely require some practice. XD

So far I like using Sin and Chip. As for that $8 DLC character...I'll pass and wait for a price drop.

You can unlock Sin with 200,000 in game currency. ArcSys has this big thing about buying features that you can get just by playing the game and I tend to not buy anything from the store when playing their games.

At least the BlazBlu add ons say "This feature is available by playing the game."

Decided to give this Game another chance now that I got my Fightpad... I got further in Baiken's Combo Challenge but that brought me no joy.

Oddly enough... I don't think this game needs 5 buttons just for normals... mean while BlazBlue has 3... Fantasy Strike has 1.

Unlike Last time I won't be just picking characters I think I might like.... I'm literally going to try all of them this time... see if atleast one of them sticks this time...

So first of all... Kum Haehyun:
Uses timed links instead of cancels... Too reliant in DP motion and I burned out at Advanced Combo Trial #4

Final Verdict: UNPLAYABLE

Next... Elphelt:
God Damnit Elphelt !!! things were going well untill your stupid Shot Stancelling Combos... sure there was alil dexterity involved but it seemed manageable right up until Advanced Trial 6... sigh...

Final Verdict: UNCLEAR (will keep practicing until it works or I hit a brick wall)

Next we have Elphie's Mom... Ramlethal:

Yeah this bitch is giving my thumb pains... things seemed simple enough... naturally they want you to use DP Style Motion cancels without Short cuts... lucked at the very first trial where this was required, Advanced trial 3...

Final Verdict: UNPLAYABLE

Okay... next we have Kazunoko's Raven:
Jesus !!! Raven is like the fucking simplist thing compared to all the other characters into the game... Talk about lob sided !!!

Finally Verdict: PLAYABLE but not likeable

Okay... next on deck is Sin Kiske:
Word on the street is this character is a pain in the ass to use... hmmmm.

Yep... couldn't do a simple jump in combo... character is just so stubby.

Good luck with that. I've been trying GG on and off for 3 years cycling through the characters multiple times and no one clicked with me yet. The character I used to learn the mechanics was Jam and even she doesn't click with me. GG is the only game where I have this problem.

It might be the system that you aren't too fond of. I got into BB months after GG and I still found my mains for BB before GG.
