What is Hayabossa? Remember at the end of story mode when Kasumi and the ninjas fight that version of Alpha that turned into all the ninjas midfight and glowed blue and junk? Of course you don't, because no one paid attention to the story mode. Well anyway, I can assure you that does happen if you stick it out until the end. What's interesting is that these transformations use the basic moves of the respective character, except that there are some hidden tweaks in the move properties.
What's even more interesting is that thanks to some stellar coding work, these versions are actually playable... sort-of. Your game has to totally go bonkers and glitch-out, of course, but that's a small price to pay to be a ninja-smurf, right?
You may be thinking: "Hax!" You would be wrong. This is just a good ol' fashioned glitch, brought to my attention via the awesome @DestructionBomb
You may be thinking: "How do I replicate it?" You will be disappointed. I have no idea.
You may be thinking: "That's pretty awesome... and broken." You would be right; twice. Sorta.
So, they're apparently added into the random pool. You have a couple different versions, including:
1) Bossumi (Kasumi who glows blue)
2) Bossyane (Ayane who glows blue)
3) Sir Dorkwad (Hayate who glows blue)
4) Wooden Kasumi (Kasumi who glitches out and breaks the game)
5) Kasumi - Kunoichi of Derpstiny (fists are clenched, always looking to the sky like a moron, also breaks the game)
6) Game crash (not a character, just refuses to load and ruins your hard-on)
7) HAYABOSSA!!!!!
Hayabossa is the blue boss form of Hayabusa. He has some property alterations. He can also tag team with normal Ryu. Whaaaat? Yeah. But he does have some different properties. How do they play out in terms of balance? Like most TN balancing, the changes don't make a whole lot of sense. Let's go over some of them that I noticed:
4H+K is +5 on block
6KP is +15 on block
KK is -12 on block
P is 11 frames
PP4PK/4PK tracks
6K causes a lift (that can't be juggled) on NH
How can this be incorporated? I'm not really sure. That's where you come in. You see, I suck at Tag. I literally can't do any tag combo nonsense to save my life. Add to that it's very rare to get Hayabossa using the Random method. So, has anyone else encountered this anomaly? And if so, do you have anything to share? Here's a small vid to start things off, featuring my scrubbiness in tag at 100% (yes, this is the part where you get the initiative to go and perfect my sloppy 6KK loop and upload a video of it).
