Very true, My apologies everyone. All nonsense aside, I would like everyone here to promote the actual event on your personal social websites if you are a big fan of the series (if you haven't done so already). I can't say much for obvious reasons but the more we get this hyped the better for everyone TRUST ME. This is one of many events remember that and we are at a point where we will have to work together and meet half way on things. This goes for all (DOA) websites & fans.

You guys are hyping me up :) Everyone's making it seem like E3 is gonna be one of the biggest things to happen to DOA ever. Yay for excitement and good things!

I'm not hyping up shit for E3. It's a trade show that we're all going to get what we're going to get from, regardless of pointless boosting of view count. I'll start hyping up the tournaments I can go to without calling in favors from industry friends and coughing up a few hundred for travel.

I wasn't referring to tag, I was referring to 1v1 sets, switching between main and secondary characters according to matchup against opponent's selected character.

I can only see a problem if Raansu only "wants" to play one character. But it just makes sense to me for him to just go and play both since both appeal to him.

Akira is top tier in VF5FS.

...but why wouldn't you just play both? It's not like you can't play two characters.

I'm aware of his tier in VF. I thought your comment was towards the DoA version <_>(unless of course you are saying that he's a complete mirror of his VF version then OMG YES >_> lol). I have a hard time playing different characters. I usually pick one and stick with it. Unless I'm goofing off I'm always playing my main. I'm sure Rikuto can vouch for that where I pick Hitomi and only Hitomi till i get tired of getting my ass beat and pick random lol.

We have a few things planned, but we'll be live pretty much the entire time the E3 show floor is open. If a tournament is not happening at the moment, you'll see some other stuff. Casuals will be played, but it won't be non-stop tournament followed by non-stop casuals.

I'm sure you'll see Rikuto playing at some point. I'm sure I'll hop on at some point. Plus we have a few surprises.

Sounds good and makes complete sense, looking forward to the Event...hype meter is at an all time high!

Wonder who's writing DOA5's Strategy Guide this go around...is it you DrDogg because I respected that last outing which was DOA 4.0.

I assume I'm writing it, but I don't think the final decision has been made at this point. If Prima maintains the license I see no reason why I wouldn't write it.

I see your point... marketing implies a business, and business is just about making money. I respect that. However, also implies heavy promotion on a game I love, and I want that game to be popular worldwide. I want the community to grow. I want the game to be played on my country, or continent at least, lol. I just wanna have the possibility to play with people nearby, to play online without ridiculous lag, and even the possibility to see (and participate) in some little local tournaments of said game.

It's a personal thought that some of you wouldn't share, I guess, but it's what I feel about all this.
So yeah, I do what I can to promote it. Even if the cancerous IGN is involved...

I'll bite ...

I remember not long after the Akira reveal, either Hayashi (or another TN rep) said in an interview that Akira's movelist in DOA5 would be IDENTICAL to his movelist in VF5. So, that being said, it would be safe to assume that his move properties would also be identical (or mostly identical). Given all of that, Akira, in all likelihood, will be one of the best characters in this game!

Also Raansu, just play both characters, dude! It's just a little extra investment of time. Don't be the guy who just picks one character and plays on autopilot! lol
