I dont know what the big deal with akira is.. you guys relax
Assuming hes gonna be identical...
His gameplay is heavily ground based... Like what airjuggle strings does he have really? PP? >>KK? his 3 hit string that starts with mid kick? That alone can be a disadvantage..
He is heavily based oh his ground game.. and that can hurt him bad with doa mechanics depending on the height properties they decide to give him...
But then again they might give him one or 2 stuns like hayabusas qcb+p for some trademark combos..who knows?
Also... Launchers... Not many ..
He may be top tier in vf.. but i can see how hed struggle in doa.. But at the same time i have faith that team ninja n sega know what theyre doing...
Im sure they'll make him fun to use... And probably have a tag throw with kokoro lol..

I think that akira will porobably have more potential to push you to a wall and dishout guaranteed damage.. but who knows at this point.. we only have a vid thats less than a minute to go by... Lets just wait n see what e3 has to offer :)

He didn't need juggles. He hit like a fucking truck, had frame traps/advantage up the wazoo and had extremely good throw setups. He will be fine in doa5, and if he's an exact copy, frame data and all he, will be a monster. Just think of him like Gen Fu who also didn't have big juggles but hit like a truck and had good setups...even in that crap doa4.

If he's like anything in VF his ground game will just be insane. With the way they change the hold if you throw out holds recklessly he's just gonna kill you in like 5 seconds. Not to mention his strikes all hit very hard to make up for the lack of launchers.

I'm curious to see what they did to his knockdowns that granted combos or stuns that gave combos. I'm REALLY curious to see what they did with his 2p+k+g (super fast guard break lolz)

I feel Sarah and pai are gonna be awesome as well..
I really want wolf and kage as dlc and ill go crazy happy...


If they do a full blown cross over next year then honestly my life would be complete
(Would be funny if they call it fighters megamix 2 lol)

You guys recon we'll get a stage that would have a "RING OUT"?
i think that would be awesome!

Ugh I hope not...I love VF but I absolutely hate ring outs.

ring outs are generally hard to achieve in vf now... if you got yourself positioned for one you normally have yourself to blame

I still think it would be a nice touch... To have just 1 stage with a ringout..
Like give every stage a perdonality of its own..

And 1 stage with ground dangerzones that allow more juggles would be epic as well .. mmm.. I wonder why they gave up on that idea.. it was awesome at the time...

I dunno.. i think ringouts create a new type of threat to an already interactive envoronment.. i think having 1 stage with its own rule like that would be awesome..

Kinda like how the snow stage gives you initial stun n everything launches

I kinda like stages with a twist.. they change your strategy for the fight and the planning becomes not just dependant on match up but on the stage as well..

Then theres stages that have no danger zones and it all goes down to the match up

I think the variety keeps the fighting nice and fresh

Like i can imagine online arguments where 1 guy would be like... Put the vdmf stage so i can show you how its really done!! Lol..

But thats just my opinion...

I like the concept of ring outs and all (specially the pressure you feel when you are near the edge), but in DOA there are plenty of moves that make you fly away almost across the entire stage.

Although, I'd love to see a Hayabusa player fail and ring us both out because of an Izuna drop LOL. Anyway, that's one thing I liked about DoA was that it didn't have a ring out.

He would win as your head contacts the ring out area first.

That's how DOA1 did it anyways.

Well its not like rounds last long anyway at normal health setting.. unless you guys want all tournaments to be set on largest like they did at mcm lol

Im 110% sure that all toutnaments for doa5 will be on normal life settings. Only the amount of rounds will change.
