Is the lack of Tag mode a concern?

I have no interest in tag. The game is not balanced around it at all. I'd rather they make a whole game built around tag mechanics rather than throw in a mode that feels slapped together.

Not a concern, but I would've definitley prefered if it still was in the game. I liked to play it once in a while and I really enjoyed the character interactions, intros and win poses or special tag throws.

ehhh, it was fun but the extra layer of complexity/distraction didn't really fit with my solo play or with friends. So although I'd like the option, not fussed about it's omission.

Team battle is the niche mode I'd miss if it were lost as non-doa friends seemed to connect with drama of it.
