Since 2025 is the 30th anniversary of Team Ninja’s establishment, I want to announce and release a title suitable for that.

I don't see how that could be anything other than a new DOA fighting game. DOA was Team Ninja's first game as a new studio, which saved Tecmo, and if they're doing something specifically for the 30th anniversary of Team Ninja then how could it be anything else?

Edit: I guess it could also be a remake/remaster, Ultimate version of an old game (DOA3U?), collection for all platforms, or new Dimensions or something... I'll take anything that's a DOA fighting game at this point tbh.

Yeah, I saw this and was like WHOA. They also canned some mobile games, and I think tried to make a definitive Warriors mobile title, but if it's anything like the last one it will fail. Based on the reports I've been given they might exit the mobile market. It doesn't work for every developer.

Step in the right direction. No offense to those that enjoy mobile gaming, but holy do resources need to be pumped out on full game projects on PC / consoles.

There is so many good features in games that wind up in mobile that just gets wasted in time and longevity. There is so many games that ceased to exist (especially live service games) being put into mobile. It's just not the strongest core audience outside of Japan realistically. It takes quite a bit of time for realization since technology push is so heavily focused on mobile gaming.

Though in my opinion, I don't think they exited the mobile market. More or less they just took a break for it and then they'll be back on it lololol.

They could try to make better mobile games, but I’m not sure that will help them. If they don’t make money doing it why stay involved with that side of the business?

It's pretty much exactly the case that they just haven't made a good one like you mentioned. Having a mobile game is pretty close to standard now these days since practically almost every other major game company has one. Capcom, Namco, Square etc.

It's mostly the "why wouldn't they have one" kind of thing or a "when", and KT is not an exception to the rule where eventually they'll keep trying to get one at some point later in time. Mobile games are cheaper to make while going for maximized yields (which is pretty much right up KT's alley given their track record). The push for it is extremely huge for whatever reason and seeing KT not taking advantage of it makes them the odd ball in the room, since they'll eventually realize that the company is also not the smartest in the room like the other ones when it comes to mobile gaming.

It's just a matter of when, and KT will be in queue for it later down the line until they make a really good one in their eyes.

Fairy Tail 2 has been viewed as the biggest financial and player count flop in Koei Tecmo history with an all-time Steam peak of (348) players. What a shame, because the game was actually a lot of fun!

Dynasty Warriors (69,483) failed to beat Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (75,906) in its opening week, but with that said DWO is 70 USD and did not ship with cooperative play.

Koei Tecmo deserve these numbers after their move with the first game with their Day 1 Censor Patch Move which was KT bad move, so with the 2nd game Players remember what KT did, and didn't trust them again.

Koei Tecmo confirmed when testing a Nobunaga game on Switch 2 that the system will have USB mouse support.

That seems like good news to me.
