I usually main females, but in the case with DoA I use males the majority of the time. I mean, they get no love whatsoever! And unlike the girls, I'm actually good with a lot of them aside from Hitomi. I also wanted to use La Mariposa and struggled hard with her, but I'm always getting my butt kicked whenever I use her T-T

Seriously? I see them all the goddamn time.
Like, I'll enter a match, they start highlighted on the character they played last (Kokoro, Hitomi, w/e). And then I'll select my character and a good 1/3 times they'll scroll on over to Hayate. Then when we get in match, their two titles are set for character ones, neither of which are Hayate. He's like the ultimate "I don't main this guy, but I'll pick him all the time anyway," character.

You're picking Ryu right? That's probably why. People love the ol' Ryu vs Hayate matchup. Even I'm guilty of doing it every now and again. Heck I've seen people pick Kokoro after they see me pick Akira.

Maybe that's why. It is a cool match in theory, but I've done it so many times now the novelty has sorta worn off. Every once in a while, I'll come across a badass Hayate player that creates a really interesting match, but most of the time it's just guys who barely know how to use him spamming his crush mid-kick (forget the input), his 66KKK and his 3H+K 2K 6P (or whatever it is). Also worth noting is that most of the "cool" Hayate players main or co-main him, like Takeda.

I guess I have been seeing less ever since I've started trying out new characters.

Tekken 6: Yoshimitsu and Asuka
DOA4: Kokoro and still looking for secondary.

Once I get DOA 5, I'm gonna play Kokoro. I would list other FGs, but I don't own them. Hence, I'm a casual at them.

I say everyone picks him if they have the shirtless DLC. But that is just my opinion...
