Btw this will be a reboot of the series, and will be kinda similar to MvsC1

Well, it's kind of a bummer that they're only using characters Marvel has the film rights to. Deadpool gave MvC3 so much personality that he will be missed.

I wouldn't mind if Rogue returned, I played her quite a bit in MVC2 and liked her hyper punch special and power drain but I doubt she'll be added. And of course Morrigan needs to return too.

@Awesmic I know, Argentus pointed it out to me, that was my mistake.

Also Rogue doesn't have flight and superstrength anymore, ONLY the draining ability. (Fun fact. Her flight and superstrength powers came from Ms Marvel, who is now in the game instead)

So is the Marvel side confirmed to be based solely on the MCU?

No because there's no MCU version of Ms Marvel yet we have her (Though they are MAKING a movie about her).

Eh. Never liked her anyway. Always preferred Lady, and DMC4SE solidified that.

Hell, i'd rather have Slapstick, honestly. At least then they can have fun with it and MvC can have it's very own Peacock.


And oh shit googling Slapstick revealed to me he's getting he got his own series again!

for the first time since his debut in the 90s! (FYI he was voted best new character introduced in 92, over Carnage!)

also as you can tell by the image there, Slapstick REALLY isn't a nice guy, despite being based on a cartoon character. he's more like Clayfighter, or the original comics version of The Mask.

This is going to be really weird without mutants for me (if the rumor is true)... No magneto? No storm? and no cyclops once again. But I'm still interested in seeing the marvel side. Maybe we'll get some interesting characters like Blade.

Carol danvers started out as simply the "Supergirl" to his "Superman"

Before spending the last 30 years carving out her own identity as Ms Marvel to the point she's more iconic than he ever was.

they just slapped her with the "Captain" thing because of legal rights to keep the name (Same reason why DC's Captain Marvel finally changed his name to Shazam)

Point being, Captain or Ms, she's still the only Marvel. I'm still calling her Ms Marvel, because that's who she is and always has been. Reverting back to a shitty copycat costume instead of her unique iconic one doesn't change that.


Notice how everyone refers to Kamala Khan by her actual name instead of "Ms Marvel"? XD Because Carol is still the real deal!



(Well ignoring the era after Rogue stole her powers where she cycled through the Warbird and Binary monikers before returning to being Ms Marvel XD)

See this is the problem Marvel has. they can't/won't use the x-men, but the majority of the cool Marvel characters ARE X-Men or X-Men related.

It'd be like if Injustice (or any DC game, really) didn't have Batman or Batman related characters. Which would cut out like what, a third of the damn roster lol?
