I buy it due to the fact of the atmosphere of the games and the kool and interesting characters and story. Oh and of course because I like how the fighting is.

I dont think you can actually mash in MK games either.
You can spam lows in mk, that's about it

Wrong. I buy it because I grew up on it. Since I was 2 years old.
Have you suddenly become the Wal-Mart shopping majority that pulls in most of the sales for all games? I was not talking about anyone posting on a competitive fighting game forum.

People are saying there's gonna be more character reveals at Comiccon? That true?

No, but you can't deny MK fans go hard for their franchise.

Absolutely not. I've been a fan for years myself though never seriously from a competitive standpoint. But I was never talking about the more serious fans. MK wouldn't sell as insanely well as it does if it didn't also appeal greatly to the casual crowd.

I'm no expert myself, and my intention isn't to scold you, but as someone who hardly plays MK, even I know this isn't true. Beginners and novices may get by with this against other beginners and novices, but in higher levels of play, that is hardly the case, especially for MK9. There are so many offensive options you haven't seen or neglected to see among tournament players.

And even if it looks that way in older games such as MK1 or MK2, it means the player has poor defense against lows, and the opponent is capitalizing on them. Either that, or the player hasn't taken the time to really understand and apply the series' mechanics since MK2 (or possibly MK1), and still think the same rules apply to MK9 for some odd reason.

That same thing can be said about any fighting game, or ANY game for that matter.

Taking too seriously.

I went online and most players would sit there trying to poke low with certain characters like Mileena, and it works to an extent. (I use sheeva so I just stomp em or do low grab lol)

All will suffer if I'm stuck with kiss barbarian instead of oriental pirate.

I think I found out some of the silhouettes from the character selection screen with a little research...
