She came off as some random bimbo to me... Nothing really different from Tina or Hitomi. Meanwhile we still don't have a MILF on the roster. If TN wants to cover all their fetishes they'd be foolish not to include Miyako, especially considering how little work it would require.

But seriously, I want Raidou, Irene and Yaiba mainly:
- Raidou I felt basically was more interesting than what we really got.
I mean hell, it's implied that the reason Ayane has purple hair and eyes is because Raidou somehow became a demon(fiend) when he was exiled. If anything, I want more insight on him AND his ability to copy what he sees and perfect it instantly.
- Irene is mainly for completion sake. she appeared in DOAD and before Itagaki left he laid the groundwork that Sonia COULD be Irene to begin with. If anything, I believe it would only make sense to make her more involved(ESPECIALLY since M.I.S.T. is virtually becoming a world-wide threat anyhow).
- Yaiba is also for completion sake and to give Ryu an actual foil. While he is no equal, I really feel that he's better suited to be Ryu's rival than Nyo or anyone else. Hell, I STILL see Yaiba as the only one who can hold off Ryu anymore than Christie, Rig, Donovan or even multiple Phase 4's at once can do.
I'd rather leave Bankotsubo until DOA6 as they will have to either completely retune him or Nyotengu so they won't be moveset clones anymore(or just regulate him as a costume, just like if they do so with Kasumi Alpha Original and Phase 4).

Hoping for brand new male characters regardless of how unlikely. Or Shiden with a new moveset to differentiate himself from Hayate. I wanna say Donovan but they wouldnt put the big villan in like that whos behind everything, I guess maybe DOA6. Balancing, new moves, costumes and intros/outros
yeah i really don't see why people want more cameo characters at this point when we could have originality

I don't know...I still think you guys are putting way too much faith in Irene being one of the new characters. I'm not saying that she doesn't have a chance, but TN has never publicly acknowledged any requests for the character in 5. For those of you NG fans the addition makes sense but from a non-biased view (aka the rest of us), she's just another blonde with a nice body who has served as a minor character throughout the NG series. I know I sound like a broken record but if you're going to create an entire move style from scratch (even if krav maga) I'd rather it be a fresh face.
I would be impressed if one of those locked characters is a brand new character.

You know the more detail you give a character the LESS likely companies are to use it. they risk being sued so most won't even attempt it

They risk being sued if they do not have the permission. This means legal contracting and such.
The reason why contracting is usually better so that they have the evidence to provide to courts if, say, I were to sue just for the fact that I am broke, and I decided to be a douche canoe and attempt money out of them for using my character.
Let alone fan characters are added in a lot of things nowadays. There's the MLP fanbase (as I shudder to use that example), I think FO 3 or New Vegas had a character based on someone who had died, let alone South Park had a fan character in an episode from a long time ago, etc. etc.

Actually DOAD implied Raidou become in this way after allowing to DOATEC to experiment on him (or with himself wishing for improving his skills through their DNA alterations). The strange thing is that Raidou seemed to be in good terms with Fame Douglas, that apparently was against the faction of Donovan (but maybe he contributed anyway to generical experimentations?)
I agree with this, indeed even if apparently the most requested character on Facebook and maybe Twitter, I'm far to consider her confirmed in the game.
But what the fans continue to repeat is that Irene has already a major role in DoA than in NG and definitely the girl is an "action character" (contrarily to Nikki for example): so sooner or later her presence in the roster of the series could appear more than justified.
And of course only their fans can ask the presence of unpopular or "minor" characters, just as we didn't see a mass of people ask for Bankotsubo, exactly as now for Genra or Shiden: so don't worry, your behavior it's prefectly understandable =) Surely Irene is favourited from being a sexy character and end to get preferences even for the sex appeal, it would be silly to deny it, but I assure you that the requests of the most passionate fans don't seem to ask her for it.
In the end she is exactly in the same situation of Donovan, a character that was already showned part of the plot and that could end to get a new moveset from scratch (or a remake of an old one for Donovan) in the future roster of the series. The only difference is that we will see definitely Donovan to fight, at least as a final boss, because the game needs to show it; Irene is not equally sure even if the lights on her from TN and the fans could led to something.
