I think, for now, DOA5 has enough characters. I'd rather not have any more VF characters, because quite frankly, they do not fit in with the mechanics. Watching Sarah fight is so awkward because of how jerky she looks. In any case, I hope DOA6 doesn't bring in guest characters. If the VF characters don't come back, we already have characters with similar styles (Akira = Kokoro, Pai = Leifang, Jacky = Jann Lee, Sarah = Rig) and the new characters make the roster more than varied enough.

Pai Chan doesn't use Tai Chi Quan. She uses Mi Zong Quan. That's like saying Kokoro and Aoi are the same lol

Even for Sarah is reductive to indicate her style as Rig's one: previously her style was stated to be Jet Kune Do but after VF4 the inclusion in Sarah's moveset of elements from Savate, Takewondo, Karate, Flamigno stances and grappling, brought her style to be classified with a more general “Martial Arts”.

Well Pai and Sarah don't belong in this game and I would love for them to NOT be included in future DOA games. At least in VF, I can blow them up with Lion.

Me and Bokuho didn't say anything about the VF characters having to be or less in Doa6, we were just stating how it's wrong to say that Sarah and Pai share the same fighting style with Rig and Lei Fang.

And by the way even sharing the same fighting style doesn't mean automatically to get the same arsenal of moves, and even so neither to have the possibility to play in the same way with such characters: these are the reasons because people that use Jann Lee and Kokoro wouldn't say ever to play in the same way with Jacky and Akira - and this happen even inside the DoA roster with Kasumi & Hayate or Ein & Hitomi.

I wouldn't mind the VF characters being cut from DOA6 provided these two conditions are respected :
- the development of a crossover (i know it looks complicated on paper but i'm sure it would look great)
- the newcomers of DOA6 inheriting some of the ex-guests' mechanics (not plagiarized, just inspired)

Both series have a lot to learn from each others.

At the rate that we're going with new characters, having the VF characters replaced wouldn't be too bad, but I would like to keep them in.

The most likely scenario is that the characters will be cut without substitutes and that we will not get a crossover, but I would really love to see fulfilled what you said.

How about no? Kokoro and Akira already share a fighting style, so does Jann Lee and Jacky. Even though they use them differently, the styles exist in the game. I honestly hate when fighting games have to rely on guest characters to even get noticed. If anything, Sega needs to get off its ass and make another Virtua Fighter game for current gen consoles. DOA can't carry the slack of VF forever.

Kick izunas for Hayabusa needed in LR.

New character shouldn't get any. Not worthy.
:236::H+K::K::K::b360::H+P:? Make it happen TN! :D

Speaking of Izunas, I wonder if the new character will have a good throw game. It would be interesting to have a speedy grappler of sorts. Alpha-152 is the closest we have to this as of now although she's a little...strange compared to the other characters lol. I would really love a fast character with great throws in DOA.

Random thought. Would anybody want a psychotic character (for DOA6)? Like Juri, Tira, or Bryan Fury?

I guess Kasumi Alpha was kind of psycho.
Wouldn't Alpha-152 kind of fit that. I mean, the way she moves, sounds, and that lose pose.

Severe lack of Raidou discussions, but I guess that mainly because people didn't play him in DoaD let alone Doa1 or ++.

Personally, I'm just glad they added a proper boss character for Doa5. People in my local scene wanted to try out the game if it had a boss character so they could get a feel for the game.

He won't be very accessible unless they change his frames and make him safer.

If the EWGF looking move doesn't end up being at the very least -4, I'll call bullshit on that.

Alpha-152 is DOA5's boss character. She has all the traits of a boss character: easy to perform strings, strong offensive, broken tools, one of the strongest throws in the game off Hi-Counter Throw, 3 Critical Bursts, etc. The only thing that holds her back are being featherweight and lack of wake up kicks.
