DOA5LR New character expectations (Spring 2016)

They should add a drag queen lol. If they did we'd probably get someone like Courtney Act. Her intro could be

You honestly believe that the new character will NOT be sold separately? Seriously? EVERY DLC from the season passes have been available individually from the start.

And honestly, what makes you think a MALE character will sell better than a FEMALE character? This is DOA we're talking about, the idea that a guy being more popular than a girl is absurd, ryu is the ONLY exception.

Not only that, but look at the previous dlc packs, MAJORITY of them are female exclusive, adding another girl to the roster only increases the amount of sales for future dlcs since they have even more girls in.

Didn't say it wouldn't be sold separately. Just saying how it is the 1st option. Think about it, all the female characters that have came out, hasn't had to be bundled up with a season pass before. This is the 1st fighter to be priced in with the season pass. Which might mean they know he won't sell good by himself. Which maybe the reason it is bundled with the season pass.
My point is, i think TN are gonna start focusing on DOAX3 and they already announced there will not be any downloadable characters for DOAX3. If they stick to their promise, why would the bring a new female fighter to DOA5 that won't help promote their new project DOAX3? Female characters do sell better, but if I was a betting man, my money would go on it being a guy

A reverse trap would be pretty cool. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

She would probably be someone who goes to Honoka's school. And assuming Honoka goes to an all girl school, she'd probably be someone she is crushing on.

The old characters weren't bundled in a season pass simply because in the past this marketing strategy wasn't used. While it's right that this can help to improve the sellings of a character not popular forced to be bought only separately, I believe that this alone doesn't say anything about it being more likely a male character.

This was my same previous reasoning for thinking that this new character was more likely to be a male one (or a not conventional female, as for example an old lady), but I've always also considered that they could add new DLC characters with remakes of DoAX3 after to have realized the commercial success of the original title, exactly as happened with the DoA5 series where remains true that no DLC characters were added to the vanilla version.

The inclusion of a debut set doesn't give a confirmation about the gender of the character, but definitely gives an high chance to it being female considering that Raidou didn't receive a debut set. Of course could happen even other scenarios, for example a male character with only 3 costumes and a debut set for increasing it, but considering the past experience they remain unlikely because without previous examples.

While we are on the topic of twins and traps, I think it would be cool if DOA had twins like Hideyoshi and Yuko from Baka and Test. Although with one twin being an actual female, the other twin would be the male who looks like a female.

The female could be have a more visible chest (between small and medium) while the trap would be flat. The female would wear very feminine clothing while the trap would wear slightly less but still feminine clothing.

If they were wearing swimsuits, the female would be more of the first Hitomi swimsuit while the trap would be more of the second Hitomi swimsuit.

Now that I think of it, with the transform option in DOA now and with the Tatsunoko costumes coming out around the same time as the new character does, what if the newbie is a super hero/super villain?

I think that would be pretty unique (at least for FGs outside of Injustice). They could have a normal form and then transform into a better super form.

Sayuri from Senran Kagura can transform into her younger self Jasmine (they are separate slots in the game, but you get the point)

It can be older to younger, human to animal, average human to super human, ect.

Yep, a reverse trap can also add lots of diversity to the female cast. When female only dlc comes out, they could get a tomboyish counterpart to them.

Don't get me wrong, not saying I'm right your wrong. The debut costume does make sense it's a girl but the finalized characters for DOAx3 makes me feel other wise. Just a gut feeling that this character is gonna surprise us. And what would be more surprising than a guy. A old lady would be cool. But with all the money TN racked up, they better bring us a good character
