Despite VF being one of the earlier IPs for fighters it never really took off to have a lot of mass appeal especially compared to SF/Tekken that have their own collaborations happening. Akira especially seems to be in more non VF stuff then his actual games nowadays lol. Part of the blame should go to Sega since they made plenty of bad decisions as is.

Well Vanessa design wise is a gender swap of Leon and Mila is a more agile version of Leon, so it makes sense lol. They're like a huge triangle of similarities. Its also why I feel Vanessa would be kinda redundant on DOA and id rather have the monkey girl instead despite living Vanessa
