The new beach is already my new favorite, it's bright and fun, something the other stages are lacking (yes, circus stage included).

Agreed. I was trying to hold triggers down when selecting the stage to see if the skybox would change. Sadly, no.

Every fighting game NEEDS a sunset stage. And it so happens that's the best thing that's missing from this game.

Exactly! That's part of DOA's identity. It is FUN.
And La Mariposa looks so good in that stage. Her moves.. the water.. her sunglasses... her coconuts..

The art design is brilliant and just by looking at it really brings back the good old memories of DOA3. :'-)

The stage is definitely the nicest thing this game has now. The lighting's wonderful and it's vibrant and full of color unlike all the other stages with the gritty, sci-fi style. It's pretty frigging huge too, with half the fight taking place in shallow water and the rest on the sand.

Plus I've ONLY been playing on this stage since the update. That says a lot.

I got the chance to play the level at my tournament yesterday. I really hope Team Ninja plans to release more. This is what DOA5 needs to complement the patch. My only real beef with the game now is that the stages aren't quite as good, or as varied as 2-4, but this beach stage shows that Team Ninja can still definitely get it right when they want to.
