Maybe it's all the shit talk I've been hearing for a year, but the story isn't that bad. It's actually kinda fun, though it's also all over the place. Definitely one of my favorite games already.
it failed what it was meant to do in all honesty i didnt feel guilty in the least,Ryu sure as hell didn't only time he cared was when he killed a good guy , and there wasn't anything i learned about Ryu in here that i didn't learn from Dragon Sword already
.i was hoping for flash backs of Ryu's brutal life or for some deeper insight into him but all i got was MEH
Revengence took this idea and did it well, when Sam switched on some mind reading device and you heard the soldiers talking about why they joined up,being tricked,scared out of their fucking minds,knowing they were just more cattle to the slaughter despite what they were being forced to say it was major holy fuck moment imo,for once i actually felt bad about the mooks.the story itselfwas also outlandish as hell but it was new and refreshing and made me want to stop the baddies, well until that shit head came along and ruined the fucking game by having jack to do with anything having to do with the other several hours of it.
the gameplay was incredibly meh but its story hooked me and all it really had to do was break tradition and a few taboos.seriously when you let a KID get cut in half the audience ain't going to know what the fuck to expect anymore because all bets are off and you've taken them out of their comfort zone.
