I really hope Sigma 2+ has some decent trophies.
Not likely given the history of Team NINJA's games and achievements/trophies. Lot of boring ones, lot of grinding ones, and one or two that are damn near impossible.

Yeah, it's a shame too. I'm really looking forward to this game, though. I've been wanting NG2 on my vita ever since launch..

Trophies don't interest me too much, unfortunately. Achievements sure do but trophies have never done it for me. So unless there are some sweet unlocks, I likely won't bother doing Master Ninja on Sigma 2+ since it's not like I haven't beaten the arguably much harder MN on NG2 already.

This is pretty much all I'll be playing till RE comes out lol. Are Achievements any different from Trophies? I don't have a 360 so I have no clue..

On another note, would NG4 interest any of you to go next-gen?

Achievements...it'd be hard to explain why I find them more compelling than trophies because they're very similar. Let's just say they came first and I prefer a number to a level and a bar. That'll work.

As for NG4 I'm all for it. Just needs to be done properly.

I'm all for NG4. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes with NG3.

As far as being next-gen goes, I don't really care. I guess I'd prefer it's current-gen just so I don't have to buy a new worthless machine to play it. The graphics still won't be top-notch on current-gen, but they won't be bad either. The exact same aplies to if it's next-gen. I'm fine with the graphics the PS3 has to offer, and I have no interest in a new NG game relying on stupid touch-screen/motion-sensor bullshit gimmicks. If they really wanted superb-graphics, just make it for PC.

I agree with Brute, I wouldn't mind NG4 as long as it's good. No motion control gimmick crap pls.

And cyberevil, how was Revengeance? I'm thinking about starting out on the hardest difficulty, do you think that's a good idea?

They need to avoid PS4 and its stupid touch pad on the controller. TN can't resist gimmicks if the Vita is anything to go by.

SilverForte, don't do that. The camera will get you killed too often and there are some poor design choices that don't become apparent until that difficulty. On the prologue boss fight every attack one shots you and you fight the camera the whole time because it tries to lock on its head which you can't reach most of the time. Try it and you'll see but it wasn't enjoyable difficulty, it was poor design difficulty. Play on Hard at most or you may find yourself disliking the game the first time through.

As long as NG4 isn't in the PS4's launch window, it should be fine. If the Vita is anything to go by, the launch games are usually the ones that use too many gimmicks in their design (NGS+ was among them for the Vita, and look what happened to bow aiming). Developers and console makers need to realize that there's a fine line between casuals who play Angry Birds on their smart phones and people who spend $60 a game and near $300-500 on a console. People who play with gimmicky apps on their phones are not going to buy home consoles, and people who buy consoles don't want gimmicky shit on their $60 games. Why is it so hard to understand that these are two distinguished groups of consumers? Jiggling boobs with the Dual Shock was bad enough for a Ninja Gaiden game. Please leave gyroscope aiming, touch controls, and all that other gimmicky bullshit to Rovio and whoever makes iOS games..

Like everyone else said, I'm totally up for a Ninja Gaiden 4. Heck, I'm even excited for Yaiba. But for the love of glob no gimmicks PLEASE. Hopefully NG4 will stay current gen since I'm not completely sure I even want a PS4 because I know the market will be riddled with stereotypical mainstream shooter bullcrud.

Hayabusa as the last boss in Yaiba better be the most ridiculously awesome and fucking difficult last boss in the history of action games.

Picture this scenario, if you will: your character fights his way into Hayabusa village only to find the bodies of all of his allies throughout the game strewn about. He slides open the door to the center most building in the village to be faced with Hayabusa's back to him. Viewpoint now shifts to first person. He flicks the blood off of his sword and advances. Hayabusa doesn't move. He begins to run. Hayabusa still doesn't move. He brings his sword up and then down on his foe...

Only to find Hayabusa is simply not there anymore. There's the sound of liquid dripping 20 feet behind him and he turns to find Hayabusa, Dragon Sword drawn and bloody, standing once again with his back to him. Hayabusa flicks the blood from his sword and returns it slowly to its sheath. Your character will no longer respond to controls from you. Hayabusa begins to turn his head, ever so slightly to the side and stops when one green eye pierces through your character. Your view skews slightly to the side, as if you're character is sliding sideways. Then the viewpoint is falling and violently rocks side to side and spins, coming to rest staring at the now-collapsing, headless body of an awfully familiar-looking zombie ninja.

FADE TO FUCKING BLACK, THE END, THANKS FOR PLAYING.

I'd buy it. :D

Damn, not even a boss fight lol. That excerpt was more hype than any trailer they'd produced.

Not sure that'd work and I happen to get along very well with the current Creative Director for Team NINJA lol. They are aware that I'll help in any way I can, from hopping on a plane on my own dime to help play test to simply giving up my cash for a copy at launch, so that'll have to do. Appreciate the kudos for my little impromptu sequence though, haha.
