Alright, who here has a Vita and is either picking up for sure or heavily considering picking up Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ this week? Sound off my fellow ninjas!

Lol gotcha. NGS+ is what got me to buy a Vita actually. Great little system.

Already paid off the pre-order for this and DOA 5+. Still waiting for Gamestop to register RE into its system to pre-order.

I will be playing NGS2+ for a ridiculously long time. I bought NGS+ Day 1 last year and still play that game to death. Funny because I'm still nowhere close to platinum...

It's a good feeling.. playing NG outside of the apartment lol.

EDIT: Found a new article detailing some of the new features. Sounds like some of the unlocks are gimmicky modes, but I'll take it. So ready for this.. just really, really hope they fixed bow aiming.

Really liking the multitude of costumes for Hayabusa. Some screens:

Saw those shots last night. Really digging Hayabusa having his black and red getup. That's been my main costume since NGB. Love it and it really burns me when it's not present in a game.

I have the same feeling for that DOA throwback one. I really hope its presence here indicates a possible feature in RE as well.

The DOA throwback is unmasked? It's the first time that we see this version in a NG game or am I wrong? Because seems me that in the previous NG there was a masked version of it. I really hope to see this outfit also in Doa5...

Anyway about YNGZ, you will fight Ryu druing the game, but he will not be the final boss: in the end surely Yaiba and Ryu will become the classical allies that aren't friends but are on the same side that respect each other. The fact that there is a common enemy for both (the army of Zombies) is already a clear sign of it: Yaiba will be an anti-hero but hardly a pure antagonist.

Yeah, that seems convincing. Yaiba the character would be smart to go that route.

I doubt TN will bring in these costumes to DOA 5. Costumes are part of the incentive to buy TN's remade remakes for casuals it seems.

Yes, it was in NGB with a mask.

Less than 48 hours! Can't wait to dive back in to my favorite combat system in the series. Not my favorite game (NGB, of course) but I did have more fun with NG2, if that makes sense.
Makes perfect sense since I feel the same way.

One thing that's actually VERY important to me, oddly enough, is that with the blood and gore added back in that the initial appearance of Hayabusa goes back to the Xbox version. Those who played it should know what I mean. Similarly, the scene with Muramasa finally showing his moves should be restored to its former glory as well.

The blood is back. The game runs at 30 fps, but I'm not one to bitch over the decreased frame rate. The game seems to run fine with 5+ enemies on the screen. What I notice from screens and trailers is that the resolution seems to be lower than NGS+. Graphics aren't too much of a concern for me, but they seem to be worse than the first port. Understandable, considering NG2 has a lot more going on with limbs rolling around and whatnot.

I'm very much up to date on the details and such lol. Notice I said "...with the blood and gore added back in..." and not "if the blood and gore is added." The cutscenes were changed ever so slightly in Sigma 2 and I want them back to the way they were in NG2 for 360. They likely are running sub-native res, just like NGS+, but it won't be noticeable on the Vita screen in any meaningful way.

Hell, NG2 also ran sub-native on the 360. I consider that being respectful of the source material. ;)

The game looks to play just as fast as NG2 ever did and I'm completely on board with that. I'll have a full written review up as soon as I feel I've completed enough of the game. Hands on impressions should come from as many of us as possible on Tuesday or Wednesday!

Hayabusa looked weird in S2, imo. I preferred the xbox version.
He appeared more "real," whereas in Sigma he just looked pissed off 24/7.

Hayabusa always looking pissed off is fine by me, but I agree with you lol. We'll see soon.

Ah, I did misread your post as an "if." Pardon my error.

I'm very much looking forward to your review as I've read a few before on Ninja Fortress and regarded them highly even before I'd seen you here on FSD.

All this talk about NGB and the xbox versions make me feel like I'm missing something much grander. I may have to watch some playthroughs on YT. How the hell did these games get worse with remasters and ports? Pisses me off to no end.
