Ninja Gaiden Thread

CE, you're one of my favorite forum posters in any forum I participate in simply because of quotes like this:
I am absolutely the kind of guy that gets a kick out of watching Hayabusa leap from the top of a building, dodge rockets fired at him, and impale the poor sap that didn't realize a Super Ninja flying at him is not something to sit and watch.
Never knew the English language could be so satisfying to read.

I am hyped for this game. I will pre-order it as soon as Gamestop realizes that it apparently has some pre-order bonuses for the game and decides to register it into its system.

and in my opinion it has some of the most creative boss fights in the series

creative is one word for it i suppose.after all i never saw any other game where the boss will literally randomly jump onto its head and knock himself out with no input from the player needed.

He's referring to a very early boss but yes, lol. I found that boss quite amusing myself. That was NOT one of the bosses I was referring to as creative though haha.

then what boss would you consider creative?

imo none were anywhere close to Alma's level she separated the lucky from the skilled if you didn't know what you were doing by the time you got to her she was going to DESTROY you regardless of the difficulty settings.

I can't name drop them because some haven't played. In particular I enjoyed the boss on the carrier, the first boss you fight on the final day, and the boss in the lab. They're more fun when there is a health bar but the carrier one in particular is fun even without it. With the exception of a couple repeated battles and the one you mentioned (though what happens after that boss fight is over is enjoyable) I liked most of them. Think back on NG and NG2 bosses and ignore the nostalgia and you may find that the NG3 bosses are much more interesting in general.

Haven't played any NGs in awhile, so I decided to download the NG2 demo, and man it felt so sloppy. I remember being able to go between Bayonetta and NG2, back in the day, but I don't know why everything felt so off! Maybe too much DMC, which I feel is underrated.

DmC is very good. Playing through Vergil's Downfall right now actually. That said, NG2 still feels very tight to me so I'm not sure where you're getting the sloppy thing from. The movement is much less floaty than something like MGR and I think it's tighter than Bayonetta too. You're just used to a different feel by now, I'd imagine.

I don't know. I thought the dodge was better. Maybe I just need to brush up, but it seem like there was this huge recovery after dodge. Maybe I'm use to DMC and Metal Gear rising, but It seemed like evertime I let go of guard, I get sliced, or hit by a ninja star I can't see. Going to have to brush up, cause back when I was playing NG a lot it was a blast.

Guys, Razors edge demo is coming out this Tuesday March the 12!!!!
I know I never do (because, really, you guys should just listen to me!) but do you have a link? I'm currently playing Castlevania on my 3DS and can't be assed to open another tab or navigate away from FSD lol.

Ninja Gaiden 3 = Shit
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge = Improved upon shit

You still get the same levels and enemies, but now you're playing Sigma 2 mechanically (still not as many weapons) without Rachel, and with Kasumi.

No Rachel in the game is laaaaame.

EDIT: The post above should read as "No Rachel in the game is lame with lots of a's."

Nice. So PSN is Tuesday. Generally TN does releases on Xbox on Tuesday as well so I'm hoping for around 5am Eastern on Live. Good find.

Cleaned a few things up and made some edits due to misinterpreting a post.

Thanks, it was posted on gamefaqs :p

I hope there is a karma cap in the demo because then I won't have anything to unlock in the full game which will ruin the experience
It's only coming a couple of weeks later and you likely won't have full access to all weapons and Ninpo so I wouldn't worry regardless. You have to buy a lot of skills you wouldn't think you would.

I know Razor's edge is an improved NG3, but is the PS360 going to be improved from the WiiU version, or a just a port?
