"Now For Business..." General DOA5 Christie Gameplay Discussion

I wouldn't try it after 214p, it only stuns with +25 w/o SEing which gives an opponent plenty of time to react to the 37i it takes to use her Shutai throw after 3p+k. A safer stun to use that throw after would be 7p or 4k on CH. Also, after using her 7k backflip to knockdown, you can roll under a mid wakeup kick, but this one is reeally risky.
Yeah I've done that once or twice and yeah the timing hella hard. So all in all the throw could be a great tool but it just comes up short. Dayum. This makes me sad panda.

:214: :P: takes awhile to get down with the terrible 360 d-pad. My main problem is JAK always works but instantly going into K. I usually lose after that.

As far as the 360 controller goes, I simply grease up my pad... no, not THAT kind of greasing up. It's different for my Christie doll.

But if I'm in a hurry, I eat pizza while playing the game. Nothing the good ol' cheap microwave variety can't fix.

I don't know if you are trolling here, but I'm gonna try the pizza thing. For science.

That might be just the normal d-pad, buddy. Me and a friend played SSF4 for a couple hours and it was like watching two kangaroos fighting. The controller interprets everything as "up."

We'll see because when im scrolling up or down a list i cant go down as easily as up... There has to be something wrong..

I don't know I play most of my fighting games with D pad unless I'm doing X-23 in UMVC a lot of attacks have quarter spins and jump cancels. As well as certain characters in Blaz Blue. I'm weird, like I'll use the D-pad for most of the match until it's time to use a certain attack, then I switch to the stick then it's right back to the good ol' D pad. Oh and Christie kk 2p+k 2k will force tech your opponent during an air juggle. While not 100% it force them to ukemi which could lead to some great situations.
You'll see what I'm talking about pretty early in the vid. He plays a pretty mean Christie.

The Force tech setup he did is not guaranteed and depending on setup you can leave yourself at -2 to -8 if they tech early.

Well I know it's not guaranteed I stated that much already, but -8 frames seems like bit much, not at my place so I can't test this out just yet. Plus most people tend to ukemi backwards so it would seem pretty safe to me.

Depends, It's just ideal as you wouldn't want to lose what pressure you have because you attempted an untrue force tech and they tech'd. The -8 does happen and that is the most I have seen from whiffing a setup some are neutral but that depends on the setup like ~[P]:p, 2PP, 6K Jak 2K if they tech it brings the setup to neutral if they don't then it's +14 tech. However that was with looking for it. Even if they do tech backwards at -4 to -8 you are pushing your luck way too much by pressing a button.

Too risky. Christie has much safer, guaranteed alternatives for force and pseudo-force techs. I think someone made a thread for that...;)

Cool back from the lab I found a guaranteed force tech with Christie. Once ya get them at max stun threshold do her 33p, 2pp, pp4p2k string. The 2k should be done with a pause. The timing on the pause is key or else it'll wiff or it won't force tech. But if landed right it puts ya at +17. Ya can do the same thing to heavy characters but instead of doing 2pp skip it and do her pp4p2k string instead. Only done it to computers so I don't know what use for a follow up yet as the computer just goes lol that's cute but I'm going to counter the ever loving shit out of you now. Check to see if this works for the rest of yall.
