I'm personally hoping for DOAX3U, but X3 DLC definitely would be VERY promising, especially considering they've utterly failed to deliver regarding those character and activity DLC we were promised for that game.

I'd definitely love to see the reveal of X3U or that they were going to support X3 once again with dlc ( like adding in the content from XVV to X3 ) I just kinda doubt that's what the reveal will be, especially with It being specifically XVV at TGS but who knows.

Keep your hopes low. You never know with modern DOAX, it's always out to disappoint you.

I completely fail to see why they'd make an Ultimate version of DoAX3 at that point…
If they add characters, locations, activities, customization, Pro support and fix some other stuff like hair shadows, cloth/hair physics with the environment etc. … they can just release this as X4 (since we've recently learned that no one wants a new engine anyway) and charge full price instead of 30-40 bucks (or the equivalent in Yen)
Also, VV is on DMM Games' booth. So the chance of any Xtreme news is basically 0, given that those are different titles from different publishers. If there are X3 news, you'd get them from KT and VV's presence at TGS has nothing to do with this.
Surprised that this game is still going fairly strong after almost a year… seems to be in the top 10 most played games most of the time and sometimes even top 3 when a new event rolls around. New Downloads are also fairly strong every time I look… good for DMM I guess XD

The thing is then what possibly could the news be, I'm thinking it might be a new character ( Tina I guess ) and that they are revealing it at TGS since It gives extra publicity or something. Even If the other characters were just revealed on twitter and famitsu etc.

It was a few times at the number one spot of DMM as well, (everytime we got free 1.000 V-Stones)... my bet: Tina announcement as new character (coming at the beginning of October to VV). Luna was in January, Tamaki in April, Lei in July.

A teaser of new character(s) and new activities/gameplay is enough for me.
Problem is, Xtreme 3 is very much incomplete, and not just from the fact that there are six girls cut obviously (for starters, they left out a lot of character interactions, practically all of them in fact, and, barring rock climbing, there aren't any new mini games. Not to mention they hadn't even done that DLC service like they promised regarding characters and activities). If I were Team Ninja, I'd do to DOAX3 what was done with DOA5 and make expansions because we failed to implement everything.
And besides, VV is still part of the Xtreme series, so it's still ultimately connected to Xtreme 3 (and besides, KT definitely had to be involved with XVV since, you know, they OWNED those girls, so they'd need to be signed off on it lest the developers be given copyright infringements).

Yeah, but TN is making a lot of money with VV. They are working on making DoA more competitive and less sexy again. I doubt another console release of DoAX is awaiting in the near future.

A mobile version of VV seems more likely than another console game, because mobile was made for gacha.
To be fair, they are technically making money with Xtreme 3 (otherwise, why bother with the various swimwear releases by weekly basis?).
Yeah, I doubt it, since you can still access VV via phone or laptop, which IS mobile anyway, so a mobile version is just redundant.

I have the feeling it will just be a tease of events to come. I'd love if there was a DOAX3U, but it will never happen. VV makes WAY more money than the other game did.
My out on a limb prediction would be Rio and the addition of the casino to VV, but I think it will be more of just being there to hand out V-Stones as a welcome gift for attendees to get new people to show up at the booth. Maybe there will be a tandem thing with DOA6, like if Tina is announced in DOA6, she'll be announced for this game too or something like that.
They could also give a tease of stuff to come since we are coming up on one year since this game has been out.

Rachel for the first time in DOAX would be awesome. That's all I want. Since Leifang is in, maybe she will get in eventually. I appreciate the dedicated players for VV, but how do you continue to make it entertaining? I'm not super familiar with this version of the game, I've played VV for maybe 10 hours and it's really flimsy on activities even compared to X3.
Tina had BETTER be in DOA6, especially after Shimbori and Tom Lee both implied that they created Diego partly reflect American sensibilities (that gives me bad vibes as to what's going to happen to Tina and Bass regarding their chances of appearing in DOA6, or apparent lack thereof. I mean, I though Tina and Bass represented American sensibilities, so why the heck are they acting like Diego just now is reflecting that?). Although personally, after what they did to the girls in DOA6 (Leifang especially), I'm really nervous about what they're going to do to Tina, Ayane, Honoka, and/or Rachel (aka the big four) regarding bust sizes. I'm definitely pretty sure Tina's going to be next in line regarding DOAXVV, though, especially after Leifang was unveiled and assuming they do them in cut order.
As far as DOAX3U and its chances, to be fair, DOA5+ didn't really make much money, yet that never stopped them from making DOA5U as a result. Heck, technically, DOA5 owes its very existence to DOAP, a port for DOAX2, and that only sold a million units.
Whatever the case, only way to find out what exactly is going to be done for DOAXVV at TGS is to see it when it comes. Only thing we know for sure is whatever it is must be important enough to have it be announced at TGS and not simply be announced/teased on Twitter or Famitsu.
How does DOA5 owe anything to DOAP? I'm interested in knowing that.
I don't think it mattered that DOA5+ didn't sell well, and it wasn't expected to.
Okay, the art director for Dead or Alive Paradise, Yasushi Nakamura, mentioned that one of the reasons DOAP was even made in the first place was an attempt to restart efforts at making another Dead or Alive game, as well as broaden its appeal. As for whether it was successful... well, DOAD and DOA5 exist, right? You can read about it here.
As far as DOA5+ not selling well, my point was that if they can still make DOA5U after the bomb that was DOA5+, they most certainly can make DOAX3U regardless of DOAX3's sales (or, for that matter, DOAXVV).

Looks like all we can expect from TGS is DOAXVV from DMM and DOA6 from KT/TN. Surprises will be most welcome.
