So, is there any real reason why there isn't a western release? I'm pretty sure it would've still get decent sales which would encourage them to support DOAX3 more so than now.

Though if there was a western version, you believe there might be some...changes? (As in different character choices)

DOAX3 and DOAXVV are alot more daring than the previous DOAX games and could tarnish the reputation of the fighting game, at least in the west.

And also, seeing that Marie Rose being the most popular in the roster, being the poster girl of the game, she could still be viewed as a child by people outside of DOA. We all know that she's 18, because Koei Tecmo/Team Ninja says so. But others will think she is as young as 12 years old. lol

Eh, to be honest, I'm pretty sure DOA6 is doing far more to actually tarnish the reputation as a fighting series in the west than DOAX3 and DOAXVV ever will, especially with Shimbori's statements which if anything is causing more ire towards him than actually supporting him (for goodness sakes, a livestream for the game got practically zero views, and the trailer actually got loads of dislikes).

As far as Marie Rose, speaking as someone who is far too aware of how the Japanese often don't even care about hiding the fact that they sexualize underage girls even during localization (Masamitsu Hidaka and his comments on how May and Dawn were sexual eyecandy back in 2008 and similar treatment for Serena in Pokémon XY, despite all three explicitly being ten year olds is a notable example), if they say Marie Rose is 18 years old, that's MORE than enough for me to think she's 18. Besides, DOAXVV actually makes clear that Marie Rose doesn't like being treated like an actual child, which actually would alleviate any concerns in the West about her possible age. Not to mention, if it were truly that big of a concern, why couldn't they just have Marie Rose's age being listed as "unknown" like they did with Kokoro, Kasumi, Ayane, and Eliot back when they were canonically under 18 years old?

I get what you're saying, but at the same time they could replace certain characters that didn't make it in by votes. I can totally see them replacing Marie with Tina and replace Luna with Christie or Lisa.

Ah, Luna wasn't even in DOAX3, just DOAXVV, so there would have been no need to replace her with Christie or Lisa (in fact, technically, since they're adding in characters, including cut characters via Leifang, they don't need to replace anybody to include them). I do see your point regarding Marie and Tina, though. Personally, I'd rather ALL the girls get in, no leaving anyone out (at least, not anyone who is neither a Kasumi clone nor a guest character for any series that isn't Ninja Gaiden).

Lol I know Luna and the other new characters are only in XVV. It's just a thought if they would make an "Ultimate" version which would include all the content from both X3 and XVV and have a western release.

I too would like to have all the girls in to. Most likely though they would have to change the cover in the western release. If there ever would be one.

Don't see much of a problem with changing the cover. After all, Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes changed the cover for the overseas release.

And yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to an Ultimate version, especially when that would compensate for the poorly made mess that was Xtreme 3.

BTW, I noticed DOAGamesarecool has yet to post the episodes. I'm getting a bit concerned, especially when I have a pretty full plate as it is for today (have to do MRSA treatments, plus pick up Dragon Con passes, among others).

Not that I'm expecting much.

My predictions, Tina or a new character please Rachel TN), more SSRs are likely too.

Or a DOAX3U version (We can dream right?)

Other than that, idk what they could add to VV. It's so lame compared to X3 imo.

Eh, I don't know, I would say that, if anything, XVV was an improvement over X3. At least XVV actually HAS character interactions between various girls, something that X3 lacked for completely stupid reasons (jeez, is it really necessary to keep out be friendly gravures?). Heck, it actually has a new minigame in the form of that watermelon smashing beach game Japanese people often play (really, X3 really dropped the ball regarding minigames. Probably the closest they have to an actual new minigame is rock climbing).

Still, let's se what TGS brings us. Hopefully they'll unveil more characters (I'm really looking forward to the remaining cut six to be brought into the fold, since, as I indicated before multiple times, cutting them out was a mistake, heck, cutting ANY girls out, at least those who are neither guest characters [Ninja Gaiden characters don't count as guests, obviously] nor are they Kasumi clones, was a terrible mistake.), and if they announce X3U, I'd definitely would be glad at this.

So DoAXVV is at TGS? I imagine the safe bet is the reveal of a new character or two? Who knows, A new event or location or something. Though It being at TGS it would be crazy If it did turn out to be something like DoAX3U, I doubt it though.

Somehow, I doubt it's just to reveal a new character or two. After all, Tamaki, Luna, and even Leifang got fanfare without TGS indicating they would be released, or any game show for that matter (getting a teaser on the official Twitter account as well as coverage on Famitsu). As far as a new location, unless I'm mistaken, the same time Luna was unveiled, they also brought back the Jungle area from past Xtreme games. And as far as events, I know they had the Watermelon busting minigame not to mention various Event Episodes, so I'm doubtful those would need TGS to announce them, or any game showcase event for that matter. I'm pretty sure whatever they're going to use TGS to announce for the game, it's something much bigger than any of those.

Yeah I'd think the same thing It's just I have no idea what else it could be for Doaxvv that could be shown at TGS unless It really is something like DOAX3U or dlc for X3 or something?
