It really makes no sense. They are starting to censor stuff this late in the PS4's life cycle when there are already a bunch of ecchi/fanservice games available on the system. Nothing is stopping people from still buying those games. So unless they make companies go back and censor old games with patches, which I highly doubt will happen, then it makes them look even more dumb.
This is basically what they are conveying with this BS; "We want our console to be seen as more family/child friendly, so we've decided to start randomly censoring only lighthearted Japanese games that hardly anyone knows about. We think Western games that get shoved down everyone's throats through media and are filled with realistic depictions of violence and gore are very educational for children, though, so we will continue to support these titles. Oh, btw kids, if you DO want anime boobies, just buy all the uncensored games that are already on our system."
How can anyone not see how stupid and biased this is?
EDIT: Just wanted to add that all the games I've seen being hit with the censors are already games that are rated teen or mature, yet their excuse is "think of the children"...

I agree with you. I think they are trying to focused more in the West nowadays. I hear that consoles are slowly decreasing in sales in Japan considering most in Japan are now into mobile gaming. In the West, however, consoles still sale well.

The Switch version is a little different. It also shows the lotion. It's indeed saddening that the PS4 version has missing features.
It's also nice to see Misaki without the hoodie.

So far the trailer is disappointing. All this content has already been confirmed.
I can live without the lotions as I didn't notice a drastic difference. Losing the fans suck.
I keep wondering if the 11th girl is NiCO or returning girl.
If that's Switch graphics, it doesn't look bad.
I honestly believe this is more promotion for the Switch version.
The only concern I have is will they censor out swimsuits or gravures on PS4.

Yeah, Switch graphics is not bad. 30fps just ruined it though.
I hope there's no further censorship in this game as the game doesn't have Senran Kagura levels of nudity. lol

After seeing that VR mode, we can expect to kiss that bye bye in a few months.
There's also a more powerful Switch planned and hackers have discovered a VR setting on the Switch a few years back so Nintendo have that all backed up so if Sony ditches the VR feature as well, The Switch will be ready to have that feature too.

Considering they only mentioned the fans and lotions not being in the ps4 version I think it's best to assume that that's all that's been removed, Which the fans and lotions weren't something I used so I don't mind much.
Misaki's swimsuit looked nice, I wish they'd show more of the new stuff because this trailer was going over the game but for some one who's already played X3 we've seen most of that stuff and want to see specifically what's new in X3S.
hopefully we'll get more news this month like a trailer or famitsu scan showing new stuff.

Speaking of Famitsu scans, let's see whether the event tomorrow will be a single arc or a two-parter, since that will impact when Famitsu will unveil NAG. If it's single arc, that means we might just maybe get NAG unveiled as early as this coming Monday, but if it's a two-parter, Famitsu most likely won't unveil her until December 17.

Me too, especially the ones in Xtreme Venus Vacation that have debuted/been included by that time other than Misaki (ie, Luna, Tamaki, Leifang, Fiona, and NAG). I also hope that this time, they actually LIST their nationalities (I'm pretty irritated that they have yet to actually STATE Luna and Fiona's nationalities. At least with Misaki, Tamaki and possibly NAG, it's pretty obvious from the Hiragana composing their names that they're Japanese, not to mention we know from past entries that Leifang is Chinese.).

The trailer is literally nothing more than vanilla footage of stuff that's already available in X3, plus a couple clips of Misaki. Not a good way to promote the game. It still gives no one who owns the original a reason to buy this, especially since they are adding Misaki to the original. There has to be something more... Right??? I hope so...
I still wouldn't be surprised if Scarlet ends up having far less sexy/skimpy swimsuits than the original, too. The Fortune or Venus (or any micro suits like them) have yet to be added to Venus Vacation, and there are no signs of them in Scarlet from any of the footage or images we've seen.

I'm still thinking that since they only mentioned the fan and lotions being removed that that's all that will be removed and everything else will be safe and in the game, Definitely agree though this seemed more like a trailer aimed at people interested in the game in general but didn't get the original rather than a trailer aimed at people who already own Fortune or Venus. So now they need to release a trailer or famitsu scan or something of the brand new stuff in Scarlet that will make people that own Fortune want to buy Scarlet. Stuff like Misaki and her suits, The other new girl being revealed and her suits, New activities and accessories etc If there are new activities and accessories etc.
