I feel like that would be too good to be true, but she has been in two games this year that have bolstered her popularity considerably.
Neutral at the moment in terms of costume design ahaha, but I may enjoy it once the game is in the palm of my hands in 4 days.
Personally the biggest win for me is seeing Ayane older. Ayane was 18 in DOA6 and 15 in NG2. We've reached a point where the characters finally age to be perfectly presentable to the audience without looking weird sometimes that clashes with their initial design, and what I mean by that is that TN had a habit of making characters look like they are in their 20s or 30s, but get slapped age 18 on it (exception of Marie Rose and Honoka obviously). I know it's a Japan thing, but was hoping they could more often escape from that, and they finally did lololol.
Ayane being 25 is like perfect in my opinion as a design base and the look.

Yeah, so I'm not a big fan of Ayane's wine bib. I'm also not a fan of Seori's chest rope.
Oh yeah I saw that one. The wine thing is a little weird and doesn't seem like something Ayane would just pull out but ehh.... nothing too bad, I definitely do think the whole age 18 has gone on for far too long in my opinion.
There is a bit more positives than negatives on my end so far.

There are no spoilers to be put out here please. Other than Ayane which has become a social trend.
With NG4 there has been some interesting discourse going on Twitter, and I just take to it like a fly on shit. This is going to be a controversial title. I think people are extremely insane to some degree, and then you have people that will defend whatever is released.
I’m more on the side of “give it a chance.” Like YungBlud was given a chance by Ozzy - Ryu is not the only appealing element to NG. Especially post-Itagaki. Many players don’t want to give Yakumo a chance much how people didn’t want to give Ragebound a chance because of Ryu getting a minor role. NGR ended up being a fantastic game.
Part of having a big world is to have new characters combined with what you love about what was previously explored. The storyline seemed honestly like it was well constructed and Hayabusa was and is as he should be and would act accordingly to how he would act in any other game.
Don’t let people on Twitter deter you from playing the game. The storyline has IMO never been bad and the lore for NG is actually quite deep when you constitute the origins of the fiends.
Ayane being in the game is a fucking incredible thing. I did not expect it. She took social media by storm and for good reason. We all expected it to be Platinum’s game in every fashion from new boss design choices to the lead character.
