Probably no new DLC for PS3/Xbox360 users anymore...

I just have 1 last question: why should i even bother updating to last round? Is there any incentive at all? Give me one reason other than a title change. I'm glad they're pushing away the fans they just made with the Core Fighters series. I have no plans to get the next generation consoles when i can't justify the purchases. My games are for the ps3, and i'm not paying some service just so i can play them on a ps4, when it's clearly the ability could be supported natively. Worse yet, i'm not paying an online subscription fee, when i know that the expenses of online can be COMPLETELY nullified with a decentralized network. You want a centralized network to advertise your content to bring in more money? YOU pay for it.

You could just continue to play 5U if you have no interest in current-gen consoles. There's a free patch to LR to top it off if choosing to continue to play on last-gen consoles. The PS3 does have a way to post videos to YouTube without a Facebook account like I make use of. If you choose to play LR on PS4, Xbone, and likely PC, you'll be treated to more goodies. Remember that LR was never meant to be a last-gen release and I like that TN at least gave last-gen owners a way to upgrade to LR with the free patch update.

If you want the proper LR experience, you'll need to buy a current-gen version like I'll be doing.

Thing is not everyone can... It's not as simple as "oh! i'll just go and buy a ps4 'cause why not?" at this point there are some countires where getting a ps4 is pretty much impossible unless you have like three jobs at the same time or something *cough*venezuela*cough*

But whatever, is not like i didn't see it coming...

Ooo, a free upgraded title. I feel real entitled. I want to know why i should even notice.

So you think it's an issue of people not wanting to upgrade, and you see no problem with a game having so much DLC that Sony or MS have to say stop?

That's assuming the story is true and it's not a cover to force people to upgrade. I mean we all know the PS3 can't render Tina's pigtails.

Going to be getting a ps4 version anyways ( need a fighting game for my ps4)

Plus going to be updating my ps3 version aswell.

I'm alright with that, if they are. They shuoldn't lie to us, though. That's just pouring salt into the wounds, and it burns bridges. Instead of promoting a game i won't get because of platform issues, i'm going to be criticizing the game i won't get's makers. I may not be important, but if i'm doing it, so are others.

This is the worst part about it. They come out and say they're gonna be nice to us, then they get told they can't do that, so they're systematically removing the "nice thing," but still expecting stuff. What they're clearly trying to do is not upset people that bought all the DLC but consequently don't have the money for the new system they're being pushed into forcing on us. So now they have to push harder because they are getting pushed harder. What we really should be asking is, "ok, what is left in the ps3 version? Is the only thing i get is a title swtich? Am i supposed to be happy with that when you could merely be throwing a killswitch into the game so i'm forced to upgrade to ps4 after a month or I can't even fight a computer?"

You do realize that DOA5U on PS3 & 360 won't magically break just because of the release of DOA5LR right? All the 100's of DLC items available will still be playable after LR drops on current-gen consoles. They don't even have to be doing the update patch that they're doing for last-gen consoles to be able to play LR. The gap between DOA2U & DOA4 was about a year or so and if I'm not mistaken, you needed a new console to be able to upgrade to DOA4 (DOA4 was also a launch title to top it off so the system was brand new at the time). TN has to eventually move ahead to current gen.

I know that. But at the rate things are going, i'm afraid of them adding a killswitch.
