i agree with hajin figure it out and stop crying
50/50 scenario which introduces a strong possibility of loosing 1/4 or 1/3 health which leads into the exact same 50/50. Helena's oki game was no where near as powerful as Rachels yet it got nerfed.

He plays Helena, so he understands the use of her 50/50 vs Rachel's 50/50... and he says it wasn't as nerfed as many may think, but idk I'm not really one to talk I don't play Helena. But in the defense of Rachel, her 50/50 would be pretty essential to how you have to play her (as braindead as that is,) if she's not on offense, she is most definitely losing the match. You can also throw in the fact that she has no low crush, no spacing options, and no defensive options as I have said before... SO... my big thing is, if Rachel's offense is getting smacked in the big update that is most likely coming in a few months, she most definitely needs to be balanced out (low crush? frame advantage guard breaks? better spacing options? scarier lows? just to give a few of my Rachel desires)

Although I really do love debating and discussing why and why not nerf Rachel, but to be completely honest, this thread is an example of how much people refuse to use common sense and learn how to properly play the game... when Rachel was first announced, people in the Rachel General Discussion Thread were really glad that she was a heavy weight, powerhouse, with the STOMP... and now a month into the game people are screaming for nerfs. Rachel is supposed to be a Spartan equivalent, and even though I just started playing DOA this year, I know that Rachel is nowhere near as good as Spartan was (Plasma Grab>Launch Grab+Reset Grab IMO) and I'm pretty sure that she was a heavy weight female as well... she also had spacing options, high damage output, a viable low that didn't push people 5 miles away, idk about her crush game (but if she had a reliable low crush... YOU ALREADY KNOW,) and could play DEFENSE!!! I know there are some people out there who used to play Spartan in DOA4 who can support my theories (other than the Rachel blender offense, I know that it's braindead, but that's mostly what she has... not all, just mostly)

The only thing that needs to go with Rachel is her FT... since generally removing a move is impossible, give it a pushback far away enough so that she can't continue to apply pressure. Much like what Helena's BOK 6P does now. Other than that she's fine.

Yeah, either that or give it less frame advantage (like +7 or +8; that's cutting the positive frames on it in half)

Admittedly the stomp does ( well a LOT of the time with me ) glitch and the kick that forces them up whiffs forcing you to block a wake up kick since you can't move back fast enough to avoid it. I still haven't figured out the position which makes this happen... it's really bizarre though.

I'd be happy if they just patched it so it pushed them far back... the animation looks like it would to be honest. Force them back that is.

Like how Eliot's 7p is now. Pushed back with no vantage to either player.

1 frame just frame for advantage, 2-4 frame window for just the no vantage pushed back force get up.

Don't worry, it wont happen again. I felt incredibly bad afterwards. As much as I like Rachel as a character, the FT reset is just too good. I'll just focus on a different character for the next tournament... whenever that is!

What Ayane players are you playing against for you to justify that statement? Because unless you're playing me or another select handful, majority of other Ayane players are garbage, sadly.

There are a few that actually knows how to utilize her tools. Granted, most Ayane players believe the first combo they learn is enough for them to consider themselves "good".. Hell most players in general believe they are good after knowing one combo in practice but that's besides the point.

Personally, I believe Ayane to be the most unpredictable fighter in the game... Even more so than Brad. If you put her in the hands of a skilled player(Which are my preferred opponents) human creativity with her is endless.

Mindgames.

This upcoming patch worries me. It's never a good thing when a fighting game is patched so soon after release, and all the complaints about Rachel makes it look like she's gonna get hit the hardest. If she ends up being ass afterwards, then I don't think I'll be playing this game much longer. Seems every new FG I play, my mains get fucked over down the line, and I can't go through that again

I'm still advocating my preferred change of giving Rachel guaranteed stomps and either lowering her damage or making all her long range moves extremely negative on block.
