I remember people wanting videos of my Ayane so they can laugh at me, so here it is, after a LONG HIATUS:

This is part one, part two will be up later. You can critique if you want but there's a good chance I already know, since I know what I'm SUPPOSED to do, I just can't do it yet lol.

This was quite entertaining to say the least ;). It may be a little awkward to critique since it is online and a lot of techniques that work online may not work offline and vice-versa such as 6K2K spam. I like your use of PP's for poking in close, though I'd probably throw in a few more 2P's in there. I like your use of PP6K2K as a juggle too though you didn't seem to continue pressure afterwards after the hard knockdown most times (I.e. you can hit the opponent on the ground for free with a ground hitting move like 2H+K or the 1P2Ks I saw occasionally).

I noticed a reliance on 6K2K to start your offense. This string, for the lack of a better term, is "online bullshit". It's not very reactable online, but can be dealt with much easier offline. Try to avoid using it if the opponent blocks the 1st hit as a habit (or doing 6K or 4P afterwards). 6PP is also risky to use as a poke. I prefer 6PK or just 6P. 236K is also risky as a "run at the opponent move". Look into 1P+K mix-ups too! Obviously stuff like juggles and whatnot will come later down the line, but I will say that you still play much better than the average Ayane I encounter online that plays as unsafely as possible.

We should play online sometime, @LunaKage

I dunno man, I need to get used to actually controlling my character before I go and take on tourney level players. Making sure I learn to hit the right buttons and shit. For example: I know 6K2K is bad, I've known it for awhile, but my fucking muscle memory just hits that shit. Hits that shit like I hit 4D during BlazBlue pressure strings.

Like I said, everything Force Of Nature said, I was already aware of, I'm just not good yet.

Lol, I was just looking at stuff like how you were progressing and flowing through your matches, and the 6K2K stuff really stood out and I was worried that it was an online habit. It's good to break bad habits early before they become an issue (one of the opponents did a decent job of catching onto them then punishing accordingly). Most of the other stuff you did or was trying to do seemed ok. You're right though that when you watch a replay of one's matches, the negative shit stands out like a sore thumb.

The hardest stuff I find with Ayane pertains to proper movement, spacing and finding ways to maintain offense safely. You had the right idea with stuff like poking and PP~Grabs. Her juggles are actually pretty easy once you learn them, though I generally don't worry about juggles when someone is still new to a character. I wouldn't worry too much though, you seem to be on the right track besides the 6K2K sequences being used.

Lol, I just reread your whole post in Hogan's voice now xD.

I actually know her combos/Juggles. I just hadn't played in moths, so I reverted to my old simple stuff. Just today I jumped online and was doing full Critical Burst combos because my opponent wasn't trying to hold out of my combos, one I hit a lot then was 1P+K~P > 66KK4 > BT 4H+K > 8P > 4K > BT 6P > 66KK4 > BT 7K. It feels good to hit those long winded combos lol.

Also, 6K2K couldn't have been a netplay habbit, since those matches were the first time I'd ever played online lol.

In any case, I'll want to play you this week, Force. I'd like to play Kage as well for practice if he's up to it.
