I'm just a fan of feeling like a badass with the silly damage you can get. Can't wait to watch tournaments.
Play Super Turbo. Combos do a shitload of damage and are short but if you got hit by one then you probably deserved it for not having good footsies or AA skills. Matches against skilled opponents are hard, fair and rewarding. Just in case you didn't know all this already.

SF5 is boring.

SF4 is boring. You have 2 people there on the training stage(waiting for the other player to fuck up w/o meter so that they can land their masturbatory FADC combo that doesn't have the decency to look cool ala GG or KI) playing a game that is so geared to being "fair" that it becomes unfair to the guy who plays smart Street Fighter. I hate having my bait attempts being thwarted by some asshole having a get out of..I mean meter. If you whiff a special move/get knocked down/be a dumbass there shouldn't be a mechanic or an option select to bail you out. And that goddamn command interpreter!! I hope the guy who programmed that shit gets his ass beat in hell by some satanic hamsters with electrified nightsticks.

I never said SF4 was fun either. Lol, but SF5 just doesn't grab me. There's nothing new or innovative. It's as you said. It's SF2 with SF3 hit confirms. Add Instinct mode from KI, retool it to make characters more tame, and voila, you have the Variable system. And the current roster is nothing to get excited about, especially since Capcom already said DLC characters are coming. I was just bored of SF5 and what it had to offer, despite the fact I played a lot of matches with varying connections.

Ahh I see. Some of us at this point wants a fighting game that goes back to the basics as we never really got an arcade perfect port of ST. I hope they dont mess this up. The only gripe I have about SFV is the speed. It could use normal, turbo and turbo 2 speeds IMO.

There was an internal stress test this weekend and some people were able to get some matches in. Here are a few matches of mine (using Chun) that I recorded off screen.

That said, if you want really good Chun match footage, here's some from 3rd Strike veteran C88|DevilJin01

This was part of the August build of SF5. Keep in mind that these are not 100% accurate.

• Kara throws have been removed.
• Light to medium combos have been removed.
• Bison's flame is now a quarter circle back input.
• Bison's cr. HP is now a Crush Counter.
• Ken's back, st.MP, st.HP target combo now knocks down.
• New sound effects for V-Triggers.
• Necalli gains armor on certain EX-attacks.
• Birdie's V-Trigger activation is now an anti-air.
• Nash teleport is nerfed, some combos are not possible anymore
• Dragon Punches on guard are now on Crush Counter weakness. (We speculate this may mean that you're susceptible to Crush Counter properties if hit during the recovery of a Dragon Punch.)
• Each character now has a kick V-Reversal and a punch V-Reversal.
• Each character now has kick Crush Counter and a punch Crush Counter.

Thank God no Kara throws.

Not sure how I feel about the removal of kara throws. At least not with the current throw ranges.

Every other change seems pretty good, especially the removal of light to medium combos.

Cammy is awesome in SF5. Really like the direction they went with her, except it took some getting used to realizing that Hooligan is now a half circle and that her Spin Knuckle is two buttons. Other than that, she feels familiar enough while also feeling new at the same time.

Having quite a bit of fun with Cammy myself. I like her normals a lot, especially her st.Forward and her back Heavy Punch. A lot of her combos are relatively easy to perform as well.
I'll be getting around to testing out Nash, Ryu and Chun shortly.

Hey, does anyone have any Vega feedback? He's the character I really want to use in SF5, and I read that he's no longer a charge character.

I heard that Chun Li is considered low tier in this game. Is that true so far?

Mhm, don't lie to me Greatie. I know the REAL reason why you picked her ;)

No one has touched the character yet, since he is not available in the first beta. Speaking of which, the first beta will be re-launched this Friday.

Also, Vega has two different playstyles from what I've heard. With Claw, he is all pokes. Without Claw, he's all rushdown.

finally got my chance to play Bison a good amount and holy fuck is he a tank. Seriously, Iron Tager might have better walk speed. he's so slow I've resorted to playing with analog again since I don't really use the dash and all his specials are charge moves making it difficult to do straight offense anyhow.

His V-trigger though gives him the best movement in the game and basically turns him into Phase-4 since he can disappear after every strike.

I can't imagine how powerful he is with someone that can actually perform his combos.
