Aside from one of the SF2 veterans and the new character, it's not like you'll be able to play these until sometime after launch.

All this means is we know who the first batch of DLC characters will be.

Yeah these characters are likely the first batch of dlc.

Fan (who I assume is a new female) will be one while I guess the other is a probably one of the SF2 guys.

Actually, based on the GAF thread, those don't all point towards playable characters. NDK points towards Nadeshiko's model used in Mika's V-Trigger. Alex and, surprisingly Ibuki point towards background characters.

Street Fighter V will be coming out on February 16, 2016, with six additional characters coming on the same year. Also, Dhalsim has been confirmed via an article from Eurogamer Portugal.

Thanks to datamining, they found the six characters that will be coming to SF5 via post launch and the last name of the new character that will be part of the core roster. Also, there are sounds for the names of the tournaments that will be a part of the Capcom Pro Tour series.

The post launch characters are: Alex, Urien, Guile, Balrog, Juri, and Ibuki. The last character that will be in the core roster is named Fan/Fun.
