they really haven't been hyping up the story mode that much. occasionally its been brought up and they've said like the MK style, hell up till this point people thought it was just going to be just still images. does that sound very "hyped" to you?
"Look at all this content you don't get for $60 at launch!"Or they just want to get the main game out in time for the Capcom Pro Tour.
I mean, they can't delay the tour until June just for story mode. And you can't just keep running SFIV either since majority of tech in that game (combos, option selects, etc.) does not carry over to SFV (which is the case for any numbered Street Fighter sequel).
Honestly, I don't get where this "not finished" talk is coming from. From what people have been playing, the base game is basically done. If this were any other fighting game developer, you'd already see this in arcades. Heck, some of the features you see in online and training mode are way ahead of what other fighters have.
It's super forced and phony. What's so wrong about that video? It just basically taps into passion that the community has fostered throughout the years.
Because it doesn't make sense to negatively impact something which the game was designed around. You are basically saying it's okay for the game to come shipped like this and focus pretty much all of it on fighting when they have been going on and on about the story mode, you know, something they know casuals really wanted and cared for since they talked about it.
I am almost certain that capcom has stated that you wont have to pay for balance changes this time around. I do understand why you are pissed though."Look at all this content you don't get for $60 at launch!"
I was looking forward to SFV but I may just wait for the inevitable...

I've been covering news for this game as part of my job and majority of what they've been talking about has been all about competition, eSports, and the Pro Tour. Yes, they talked about story mode once or twice, but the focus has been on the competitive side.
Good luck waiting forever then."Look at all this content you don't get for $60 at launch!"

Yea... Capcom mentioned that one disc is all you need for Street Fighter V. Not sure if you were trying to be sarcastic or not..."Look at all this content you don't get for $60 at launch!"

Then they should know that they shouldn't have even been bothering with the Story Mode then. It's a waste of time if their focus was competitive because of course they won't care about Street Fighter lore. All Capcom is doing is contradicting themselves and don't bother saying otherwise since you admitted it yourself.
It seems Cammy got some nice buffs. Although there are a few nerfs for Chun-Li, I can't really complain. I'm really eager to test them out in the upcoming betaBalance changes for the next beta have been found.

You really cant call them nerfs or buffs since the game is in a beta phase still.
you sure as hell can
and that is the problem when you have a open public beta. Instead of complaining, players should feel privileged.
and that is the problem when you have a open public beta. Instead of complaining, players should feel privileged. Capcom should have made it a lokest only with select high level players for feed back. Combofiend has already said multiple times the game will play very differently from what was seen in the beta's, so it's meaningless complaining imo.
