I just learned the game has no CPU vs CPU in versus mode. Is this normal for a Street Fighter? :( It's a feature that I really enjoy... What are the chances they are going to implement this later?

Oh, apparently there isn't even a local player versus CPU mode, just a local player versus local player. Alright, I'm cancelling my preorder. Which actually really sucks because I was excited for this game day one since it's reveal in December 2014. :(

Is the game not released already? But yeah I was really excited for this game when it was first announced and the graphics looked good finally and they seemed like they weren't pulling dlc crap but over time it just killed my hype more and more.

People who are looking forward to it and like it though that's obviously fine but personally I'm just not anymore.

It officially releases next Tuesday but many already got the game earlier. If I hadn't preordered at Gamestop (for the preorder bonus) but the local game shop I ususally go to, I would have it by now very likely as well. I'm glad I didn't get it before now...
It's just absolutely baffling what is all missing, halfway done or rushedly done in this game. I'm very interested in the first reviews...

what i dont get is even if the game is being rushed what could possibly justify the not holding onto to it for the two weeks it would take to add these features.

So they are added in the missing features soon? I think my view on the game is that I'll watch it for the time being and get it if/when its been updated to a decent level etc.

People already downloaded the day one patch and nothing significant was added. We only specifically know of a challenge mode hat will be added in March and a story mode in June. The single player versus modes that are missing weren't even acknoweldged to be missing by Capcom, so who knows if they will be adding these at all. :/ If I knew they were definitely coming I would still have bought the game...

Ono, the producer of Street Fighter, is right now guest on a German gaming magazine Twitch channel. I wonder if I should rage a little in there and ask him WTF he was thinking. XD

Lupe Fiasco has been going on about alot of games lately, I only even know who he is because he was talking about MGSV alot.

Also, sounds to me like it best to wait until story mode etc. is patched in, I probably wont get this game unless it goes on sale or free on PSN + anyway lol

He references games and anime in his music at times, especially skateboarding (I love his song Kick, Push).

I honestly want to just continue laughing at the literal non-existing content for Street Fighter V...yet having people defend it because "It's coming for free next month!" as if that somehow makes any sort of sense for a 60 dollar game!

I mean holy crap, I know this game's quick ass release was specifically for the Tourney goers, but this is absolutely abysmal. This is Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 levels of incompetence.

Just for once I have to agree with the previous poster. ;)
It's baffling what you get or rather what you don't get for the full price of 60$/€ (in my case even 70$/€) and it's even more baffling how Street Fighter veterans (not to call them fanboys) all over the internet are defending this crap and even insulting "casuals" that dare to voice complaints. I guess casuals (who actually make up the largest player base and financial contributer to any fighting game) aren't really welcome to the club after all, neither by Capcom nor by the little core of Street Fighter veterans. (Here in the forum it's really civilized but elsewhere...oh, boy! D: )

The people who already have the game are mostly those who just sit in Training and then session with local friends and such. Or take online very seriously. The light single-player content and lack of modes doesn't really affect them. I'm not too bothered thanks to the Story mode announcement for June (and for free) but it is much lighter on content than I thought it'd be.

Except Capcom's main goal was to get casuals hooked on SFV for the long term. So how is that going to happen with this huge level of light content that makes it like vanilla MvC3/UMvC3?

If anything, they'll stop playing the game and just watch stream tournies again, basically making the casual grab into competitive absolutely pointless.

And again, you highly ignore just how many people will play single player content in a Fighting Game because they want to.

its just an early release. all of this stuff people are griping about will be available in a few weeks after launch for free.

Extra CPU battles, trials and other Challenge Mode options

Extra Battle (1st and 2nd image): Fight against special CPU bosses in the ultimate challenge. Earn in-game rewards upon completion. Available soon after launch.

Trials (3rd image): Put your skills to the ultimate test with combo trials for all 16 characters, ranging from basic to pro combos. Available March 2016.

Targets: Complete daily renewing goals to earn fight money, in-game titles, and other cool content. Available soon after launch.

Battle Tips: Learn the ins and outs of Street Fighter 5 through helpful demonstration and tutorial content. Contains content for each of the 16 characters, as well as advice geared towards all levels of players. Available March 2016.

Survival Mode

• Your health and EX gauge carry over between each match against the CPU in Survival Mode.

• You earn points with each victory, which can in turn be used to purchase special power ups, such as health or attack or defense increases, etc. Purchasing more power ups reduces your overall score, though.

• By clearing the four difficulty levels of Survival Mode, you’ll be able to earn new colors and in-game titles for your character!

*Sigh*

I just freaking explained why it's terrible, having it be released for free later doesn't solve anything about the base package being so barebones. Come on people, you would be harder on any other Fighitng Game Company pulling stunts like this, don't pretend Capcom is exempt because Capcom.
