Simplifying the movesets let them focus (initially) on balancing the cast better.

Mind you, it all still went to hell...

Still, holding out hope for SC6, especially since next-gen is within my sights.

Simplifying the movesets wasn't a bad idea indeed. SCV is arguably the most balanced SC game, and has solid gameplay mechanics. I find that the game is incredibly underrated from a competitive standpoint. Viola's still a cunt however.
Bitch is more like it....I played her at one point, but after actually seeing how OP she can be, I went back to Pyrrha. The game does still feel more solid than SC4 is by a long mile, and the damage inflicted is actually reasonable and pretty well rounded unlike the predecessor.

Integrate the 4 guests (sans Angol fear) into the SC cast proper.

Kamikirimusi
The dual katanas girl
Scherezade
Ashlotte.

Give them their own move sets (though fyi nightmares style suits KKM's club better than his sword).

Kami is an actual Oni with a huge club.

The one girl dual wields katanas. How is that not worthy of a unique move set? No more Cervantes clone.

Scherezade is an actual elf with a longsword, and all the grace that should imply.

Ashlotte is a clockwork girl designed to subdue Astaroth. The mechanical golem to his organic one.

And story wise three of them already have ready made roles.

Kamikirimusi was stated to become algols mate/partner, as they are both immortal monsters who lost their original families.

Ashlotte was stated to be the one canonically who brought the first astaroth s core back to create the second one.

Scherezade is looking for more tales for her book (or something like that) and what better story than the chronicles of the Soul Edge?

Katana girl....no idea. She's just out to be a lustful psycho for hire, near as I can tell. But she WAS the fan favorite, regardless.

Viola is stupid, but beatable. The balance overall in scv is very good. Only like two bad characters.

I know its unpopular but scv is my favorite gameplay wise.
Viola and I accept all of your hate and tears <3 they're delicious. :)

So me and my friend got on the subject of Nightmare in SC5 and I gotta ask was he really that much better in 5 or was that just us? everything about him seemed to be much quicker, hit harder, and so much easier to follow things up compared to SC4.
