Just what I was about to say.
Anyways, how do you guys see the roster of SCVI being? In terms of size, characters, etc? Do you think it'll be bigger, smaller, or the same? Who do you think will get cut? It's an easy guess that most of the old favorites are returning, it's basically confirmed at this point, as well as the fact that most characters from V won't be returning (likely with some exceptions). Assuming the roster is the size of SCV by default (not counting possible character DLC down the road), which is 28 characters, including guest(s), and possibly being 29 counting Devil Jin. From the older games, who do you see not making it? They have to have room for new characters, which could be 2-3 or possibly more depending on how much time was spent developing it.
I'm going to assume 24 returning characters, 3 new characters, and 1 guest. If the Soul of Devil Jin returns, that makes 29 fighting styles. Who do you see making the roster?
This is extremely tricky, as almost all of the old staples placed high on the poll compared to the considerably lesser liked successors. If we have 28 characters, which has to make room for some SCV characters, new characters, and the obligatory guest, that means there are some characters from SB-SCIV who are getting the axe (if only temporarily). Who is the most disposable? I'd say Rock, first and foremost, since he's often forgotten and people wanted him to be replaced by Bangoo in SCV. Lizardman/Aeon isn't too popular either, but he's also seen as a staple and would likely raise complaints with his absence due to how unique he is of a character. Algol might get cut, but he has huge story potential, so who knows. Dampierre could also get it, but they probably want a joke character in the mix.
Predicting a roster is almost impossible outside the obvious choices. Maybe there needs to be more slots, but it might be difficult to balance that many characters in the game, but doing the opposite is going to leave some people pissed. I would've thought it would be a no-brainer, but the more I dive into it, the more it becomes a serious question. What are your thoughts?
