ZeRo's winstreak is over. Nairo won the MLG New Orleans Smash 4 Tournament with Zero Suit Samus.

Wow, I actually missed that on stream. It's surprising, but we knew it would happen eventually with how his performance was at the last few events before this. I thought ANTi would have possibly been the one to end it though.

Meh. Another sword fighter is boring, not convinced by his gameplay. As much as I love FF7, I had no chills while seeing the trailer. He looks like a plays a lot like Shulk/Ike.

As much as I am not a fan of Cloud either due to the character being quite overrated, he looks way more interesting than the cast of swordsman that's already in there. But alas, Crono's entry is very minimum now due to Square Enix picking Cloud instead. Such a shame.

Okay my mistake. Apparently the "Limit" bar can fill up during the match (by taking damage, but also with his d-special). Could be nice.

The waves look good and the effects flashy. I'll give him a chance.

This is exactly how I feel. Couldn't be more happy about him making it into Smash.

Meh. Take it or leave it for me. I already have ike for huge sword guy and I'm tired of all the realistic anime characters in smash as it is.

More importantly when will we get a Sonic stage that doesn't suck, or at least the option to use Sonics music on nonsonic stages.

I wanna listen to the epic rock but I don't wanna do it on shitty stages.

And if we ever get another sonic character, FUCK shadow. Let's have Knuckles.

I know the chance of them adding more Sonic stuff in Smash is not very big, but I'd really like it too. Wish Sakurai thought more on alternate costumes because for Sonic, they could have easily gave us 3 characters when you think about it. Just make Shadow/Metal Sonic an alt for Sonic like Olimar/Alph, Robin, and Wii Fit Trainers since they are more or less clones. And, make Knuckles another character.

For stages, I'd want something not related to Green Hill Zone or looking like it. So, Kingdom Valley (bad game, I know, but a really well designed stage imo. Could be another Hyrule Temple-like stage), Radical Highway, Final Fortress, and Casino Park are some I'd like to see.

Basically any of the Sonic Adventure 1/2 stages would be better. Red Mountain, Speed Highway, Radical Highway, Windy Valley etc.

But yeah sonics alts are so disappointing.

Instead we get nonsensical wristbands.

Hell they should've just flat given sonic palletes based on the other characters

Yellow with Tails shoes
Red with Knuckles shoes and chest emblem
Black with shadows red stripes
Lime green with blue eyes (anti sonic/Scourge)
Black body with red head and spines (Mighty)

Or even actually given him Pikachu style alternate accessories

Just...they have games, comics, tv shows, etc etc, and instead they do random palette swaps that don't reference anything in particular.
