Helena didn't land any CB's or sit down stuns, she didn't do a single thing in that match that she can't do in DOA4. Don't forget that the Lisa player could have thrown the crap outta that Helena player seeing as everything she was doing was unsafe too.

I'm with this, her hair looks wonky and doesn't flow very well. It's just too tough to animate that much hair when it's down. Looks like SC hair, all stuck in one lump. I'll take hair up.

It's nice to see professional gamers trying the game, Fuudo is playing and I saw Justin Wong expressing interest in the game on twitter. Maybe this game will thrive after all.

Although does anyone else find it kinda funny that VF players are gonna come to DOA and eventually dominate seeing as VF characters are way stronger than the DOA ones?

I was thinking the same thing. He did one juggle that I thought wouldn't work in DOA5, but I'm glad to see it works. I'll carry over the discussion to the Akira thread.

I think they said they'd distribute the pre-order bunny swimsuits later, but did they actually confirm that the CE swimsuits are being sold separately as well? I hope not. We'll never see non-bikini outfits online again if everyone gets the CE bikinis.

In the officail site of Doa5 (Japanese version) they say that both the bunny swimsuit and the CE swimsuits are being sold separately in the future like DLC.

grap3 and I have spent like 3 months trying to get Akira's knee and that fucker what juggling with it.

Really? I didn't even try Akira in VF5 and I was pulling it off with 90% accuracy in training mode of DOA5. It's still a one-frame thing, the trick is to press the edge of the button so your finger 'slips' off as it's pressed.

You also see him miss it once and get standing kick because his index finger must not have hit the button at all.

That's on stick I'm guessing. It seems nigh impossible to do that with pad.

Which is why VF players use arcade stick most of the time.

The only way it could work on pad is if you set Guard to the bumper/shoulder buttons so you can flick the edge of the button. That's what Rikuto did for just guarding in Soul Calibur 5.

I've said many times that if Helena gets a stun and the opponent continues to guess wrong, she'll look amazing. If the Lisa player had actually blocked and punished, you would've seen a different outcome.
