I'm sure Shinbori knows what to do when it comes to frame data and balance ..
I personally think hes done a great job so far every time I pick up a new character
for example:
I honestly thought Zack was really bad at first ... but then I noticed that most his stuns end up as either crumple stuns which cannot be Stagger Escaped .. or Lift stuns which are too long to be stagger escaped without guaranteeing something.. when using him I'm being forced to think in a totally different way in applying pressure .. and the opponent is forced to commit to a hold if they don't want to get hit .. In addition to his mixup potential .. I feel this is where his "individuality" lies .. despite his lack of guaranteed shenanigans in comparison to the rest of the cast ..
Eliot, has the shittiest frames, with the shittiest speed, nothing guaranteed and an almost useless parry ... but his 9 frame jab and his sabaki is actually not so bad ..but when using him for a while you notice that his strength lies in his stupidly long and varied strings and more importantly his relaunch potential .. almost every juggle is a pain .. yes its repetitive and boring but its pretty damn strong ..
I'm still working on those 2 characters currently .. shifting back and forth between them .. I'm finding it a bit challenging. but more importantly, the mentality of using the characters is so different that I'm finding it quite fascinating, especially after maining a powerhouse like Lei Fang with great frames and almost every tool at her disposal.
I don't know how shinbori will make the rest of the cast "individual" but Jacky is already set with his Different VF style, auto parry and fakes .. and Momiji seems to do everything from her double jump ... Ein seems to bee the same and is even being referred to as "easy beginner mode" lol ...
What will Leon be ?
What will Tengu be ?
is Raidou even in ? (I really hope so ) ...
I'm honestly really excited to see how he works them into the system ..
