Lets jump from a super cute game and art style to a dark and gritty one.

Today I finally bought Batman: Arkham Knight. The graphics are absolutely stunning. I don't know what magic they did with this game. My jaw was dropping constantly to the floor. O: Thank god they integrated a photo mode, that still feels a little bit clunky though. I hardly edited anything in the photo mode, so the game does really look like that in-game:
I took the above one in the character model viewer. Rocksteady seem to be pretty proud of themselves regarding the models. They are incredibly detailed and polished. You won't really find any polygon edges or low resolution textures, even if you especially look for them. (Exactly what I always do. XD) Rocksteady claims just one character model has more polygons than an entire Arkham Asylum environment. I have no clue what that exactly means...but from my experience I would guess, they count about 150-200k. As a comparison Kasumi's black ninja suit in DOA5 has 60k, Final Fantasy XV models have about 100k polygons and Marius in Ryse about 150k.
When I took these pictures I didn't get the new Batsuit jet, which is a lot more detailed. So please bear with this DLC one...
The water looks amazing by the way as does the rain! So real and stormy. o__O
