Because they've exausted all his Ninja Gaiden costumes minus Fiend Busa ( and we already have 2 of those) and running out of ideas so all they have now is gimmick costumes.

Although I did notice that they did go through the effort of lip syncing him, the "I feel a storm is coming" intro with the dummy suit actually shows his mouth move, so its possible he'll atleast get one unmasked one we just don't know when.

He actually has quite a selection of ninja gaiden outfits they could chose from. For example his THROWBACK OUTFIT.

You underestimate their laziness.

And they still have the red scarf and Future Ninja ones to go, as well as the Shadow Stalker and Biometal.


Still, I doubt he'll be in this pack.

Well there's blue fiend ryu from ng1, Red muffler, Future ninja, Shadow Walker, Biometal, warriors orochi, and ng2 fiend, so yeah.

Why don't they just use Lisa's experience in the final sequences of DoA5 to make Devil Jin Ein a clone of Hayate, and thus two canon different characters ?
This way, Hayate would have to hunt him down for like.. many episodes.
That's much more interesting than Hayate's role in the last game.

It didn't have a deal on black friday like 5 Vanilla did last year, so my educated guess is no. But you really never know.

If they have discounts today on the dlc for cyber monday (spoilers: they won't,) I'll definitely be picking some stuff up.

However between your choices (that I would love to see again, and I agree with the elf outfit perfect for Halloween), actually you left out my favourite iconic Gen Fu outfit, his "blue one":

It was included in all the games since DoA++ (and DoA 1 had a sort of prototype of it): I think that looking only to the nostalgia factor, this should be the one with the most priority.

I think that this is exactly what will happen in DoA6... the return of the project Epsilon can only mean a clone of Hayate in the next game. The only doubt is if they will make of him a new character or the new Ein... in the second case I can't say for what reason he should decide to learn the Karate XD

I don't own DOA5(U) anymore and for some reason I believed it was already included in the game.
I feel so stupid now.
This costume is my favourite from his collection and I can't believe it was not in DOA5(U) yet.
Well then, if I had to choose, it would definitely be this one.

Like I said they have already announced 1 big update in the next future, more the coming of at least four future DLC packs. In addition, now the efforts of Team Ninja are focused overall on the Arcade edition for DoA5U and the eventual changes to do to the gameplay (the Arcade will be released for Christmas in Japan) and on the promotion of Ninja Gaiden: Z Yaiba (that will be released at the end of February).

Doa5 console version will not be the first priority for Team Ninja in December, there is a reason because now they are releasing the "special" old DLC packs (the swimsuits in Japan, the Pop Idols, very soon the Warriors Orochi). On the opposite, the coming of new original outfits (the casual pack) in a such period it's appeared to me like a very nice surprise.

More I think that it's extremely likely (if not absolutely certain) that they will release DLC outfits for Marie Rose (and I doubt that she will arrive on the console version with more than 4 outfits), there is an hint about an eventual third and last DLC stage (that if will not arrive on the Arcade edition together with Lorelei, then could be part of another future big console update like the Halloween's one), and finally not all the mondays we get spoilers of new DLC (the leaked pictures of Gen Fu, Kasumi, Ein and Rachel were just a case).

Lol, is Lisa even supposed to be black (anymore)? XD Up until DOA4 she definitely was, but now her skin tone and facial features indicate a latina. Her profession and personality changes from game to game, why not her ethnicity as well?

The fact that they have 5 made from another pack leads me to believe it's already done so arcade wouldn't affect its release at all.

That Kasumi outfit makes no sense.
