I want....doa....to have a Digimon stage.
Digimon World on the psp got Lili from Tekken as a cameo, and they already had a Metroid cameo plus Halo, and now VF.
next either better be a digimon Stage (or...character?), or the Ninja Turtles (PLUS SLASH!) as the next guest fighters.
and not crappy blocky cgi nickelodeon turtles, either. I'm talking hyper realistic 91 movie turtles.
but anyways, i've been on a Digimon binge lately, and thinking of how awesome the environment hazards would be in a digimon stage in doa.

We literally have a green jelly girl who has vocal cords, man turned demon (Raidou), dinosaurs, a black male dressed in some fucking alien shit & two girls who have natural white & purple hair yet a loli and a legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion (wink wonk Mugen Tenshin is in Japan) is "out of place".

Jelly girl is the only weird thing, and at least she started out as a regular looking clone.
Raidou is just a guy that is red, he's not full on Akuma or anything. And Zack is just your standard eccentric celebrity.
The ninjas get a pass because its Team Ninja. Though all the teleporting looks dumb, too. As for natural white hair, that's just platinum blonde, not a huge deal. Especially since dyed hair is common, especially for women.
SO yes, a big goofy winged long nosed flying weather changing demon and a swedish loli maid do look out of place in the otherwise relatively grounded doa cast. (as with all discussions, Ninjas Don't Count.)

Still don't understand this "out of place" concept in a game not meant to be realistic (thank god otherwise it would be incredibly boring). Next time you survive falling from a 50 foot cliff or being slammed against a projectile flaming car give me a call. A good game provides variety. Believe it or not a character you find cool and badass (Mila), others find her appearance and movelist boring and bland (just for the record I don't but I'm just saying).

Well, imagine for example that Sonic the Hedgehog were a playable guest character in DOA. Neither game is realistic, but Sonic would still feel "out of place" in DOA.
That said, Marie Rose and Tengu are nothing of that nature. Ignore and move on.

..Well they're ninja. The teleportations are just flashy & reflect the character.. somehow. Ayane has butterflies (DOA4/DOAD) & iris petals, Hayate has feathers, Kasumi has sakura petals, and Ryu has green leaves & now they got rid of it and gave him bursts of air.\. They're supposed to be able to teleport somehow.

Let's not rule out that Ayane may or may not be a half-demon considering Raidou did have a demonic appearance, & I don't think they confirmed if he was still human or not. Boy, you must have some pretty high standards for what doesn't and what does look "in place" when it comes to Dead or Alive. Marie Rose & Tengu don't look out of place. Tengu was a boss character, and all of Dead or Alive bosses were always over the top looking. Marie Rose is the Loli to make Eliot's Shota ass not feel lonely.

Also, what was with the end of the DOA5 story showing Alpha Kasumi in the desert? was there something suggested there that I just completely missed? Is that TNs way of saying Alpha Kasumi will be back in the next DOA as the villain? I didn't quite understand it.

TN once again posted something up about liking the DOA Game facebook page for info, and stated afterwards "Santa may come". So, they're obviously going to be releasing something around Christmas. I wonder what it is. If it's not Marie Rose ( seems too soon for her. ) I'm hoping it's casual pack 3 and they release it for free or something. Free costumes would be nice.

I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm positive Christie's hair is white because of that one myth where seeing something absolutely horrifying or shocking turns your hair turn permanently white (like Vanessa in VF). We don't know much if anything about her past but I'm willing to bet she had some trauma that turned her into the cold unfeeling killer she is.

The misteryous girl in the desert wearing the black cloak is a character never appeared before and still shrouded in the mistery. Before the events of DoA5, Bayman and his squad encountered this girl during a mission, and like consequence Bayman reported his scar (and supposedly the rest of soldiers were killed). The scene in the end of the story where the girl is seen to disappear, it's just the conclusion of the scene mentiond over.
At the moment we don't know anything about the girl, if not that she has to be surely another creation of Donovan (Bayman immediately recognized it, and it was just this to push him to investigate again on this clone in the hope to find Donovan). However, considering the importance that very likely she will get in the next game, I don't think that she will end to be a simple clone of Kasumi but maybe an effective next phase of Donovan's project, very likely with human feelings on the opposite of Alpha 152 (like her tears in the end seem to indicate). More, her physical traits appear to be a sort of fusion between Kasumi and Ayane, so also the supposition that she is a clone of the red kunoichi could be a mistake.
About Kasumi Alpha, intended like the DoA2 clone of Kasumi, according to the new canon setted for the series with DoA Dimensions she was transformed in Alpha 152:. so now Kasumi Alpha and Alpha 152 are technically the same character.
For summarizing, the main clones of Kasumi in the series are:
- Kasumi Alpha becoming Alpha 152 [killed by the "Fake Kasumi"]
- The "Fake Kasumi" that you control for the majority of the DoA5 story [killed by Hayate and Ayane]
- The shapeshifter clone fought by the ninja in the end of DoA5 [killed by Kasumi]
- The girl in the cloak (that could or couldn't be a Kasumi clone).
