Seeings as it's labeled 27 of Feb I'm going to assume that is still the 1.04 patch. The 1.05 patch willl probably hit arcades when phase-4 releases. I wouldn't jump the gun just yet.

There's more recent footage that states it's still running off 1.04... so I'm not entirely sure that is new footage.

i thought that the 1.05 patch would be the arcade patch... ugh i feel like an idiot now.

Hehe, it's fine. The arcade is running off 1.04 atm. The arcade will get 1.05 once they release Phase-4. We're receiving 1.05 with Marie Rose. So I'm sure the patch will be the same, just without Phase-4.

But Rachel needs new moves!

I'm going to agree here. She needs more mid kicks or something... it's just a case of mid punch + launch throw with her... and every now and then 8K hahaha for that 3PPP+K free pick up =3

Which makes her fairly easy to read.... of course I still think it's effective since the person has to think twice before countering cause her launch throw but still.

She's the most predictable character in game. She doesn't have many moves so after few matches opponent starts holding 50% of what you're doing.
Her options after her standard jab string:
High punch kick
mid punch (SDS on crouching opponent)
OH reset that leaves opponent BT
Low poke (+on NH)
Command sidestep into low sweep (+on NH) or mid p

She has basically every option imaginable from her fastest attack. She can chain SDSs with 8K and 7K. Gets good damage from nearly any launch, meaning you barely have to dabble in the stun game unless you want to.

Rachel actually has plenty of options and a lot better mix-up (both in reference to string variation and hit-level poking) than a lot of characters. Play Leon for a while and you'll see what I mean.

She has plenty on +on NH low kicks, a launcher high kick and brutal mid K sitdowns.

Quality over quantity, people.

I just find it unfair that some characters have mid kick and punch CB. A nice mid Kick CB would be a really great feature. Ryu , leon , bayman , bass for example need it really.

Ryu doesn't need a mid K, honestly, since he can guarantee a CB with 214P. Plus, he thrives off of people trying to panic hold that with HiC izunas.

But having a mid K Shoho Izuna? Well... mmmmm... juicy.

When i say buff i don't mean make them horrendously op u__u
for helena as an example in bokohu instead of tapping 22 for it to be evasive you just hold 2
I would also like for her 2h+k to have that extra attack like it did at one point other then that, i'm alright with her

Rachel has no way to open people up other then throws and mids/highs, if she has a quick low that made a trip stun without going into the stance it would be a lot better for her

That's actually all the buffs i want

i still think rachel needs a few more buffs cause you can't brainlessly mash pp all the time, not everyone is an online warrior
I was about that it's not high punch, but her :8::P:, which is her 100th mid punch. But well, I like using it in this combo:
NH :9::P: or CH :4::K:, :H+K:, :P::P::4::P:, :214::P+K::H+P:. If only Viper Twist would wallsplat, then this combo would be deadly!

Honestly, I'd rather no balance patch, 'cause I don't trust TN to know what to patch. They should take lessons from FuraPan or Yuki/Examu. Or actually, just get the VF team from Sega to do it.

Characters with crouching low attacks (a.k.a Koko ss k ) make her high options terrible. pp2k doesn't track, ppt and ppk are all high. Even if PPP hits, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage afterwards. Rachel's range game is terrible. I'd advise against PPP. Unless there's a wall nearby.

Actually, her only real useful block string is punch throw. A lot of her NH stuns reset everything. An example is 4PP2P.... which is slow and can be reactionary countered. Seeings as a lot of her stuff comes into play on CH, and taking into consideration her speed. It's hard to actually land stuff on CH. As a Rachel player, I rely heavily on her 4P and 236T. Pretty much your best bet half the time.

Isn't Leon a counter/throw based character? Rachel is a strike based character. Two different playstyles.

Rachel relies on her strikes, and with her speed... I don't know. I think you're playing her up a bit too much. She's not a terrible character by any means, but she's far from being great, and she could use better throws & counters or something. Otherwise buff her speed and nerf her damage. Being slow & relying on strikes is rather painful.

Only guaranteed off her 8K is 3P. It's not really that brutal. Her 7K is... incredibly slow and isn't like Mila's where you can just push it and it comes out, her 7K is like Mila's option to fully charged... you have to wait a bit. Again, very easy to counter- or stagger escape and block it. One or the other. So to me that one is a little useless against a good player.

I love trip stun after :4::P::P::2::P:, so easy to get :426::H+P: because they're like 'why this stun is so short'!

You can counter the second punch, she needs just a good low(that low profiles and causes a trip stun) without the stance and she'll be a lot better

The only thing I want Helena to have is an input change for her default handslaps (236P+K) back to how it was originally (3P+K).
