I actually kind of like the Sheik/Zelda idea. lol Maybe they can give Hayate some kind of move (7H+P+K?) that would change him to Ein's moveset. If you don't wanna get hit while changing personas, just do it after a knockdown or when you're far away from your opponent. And, give the option to start the match with Ein's moveset for anyone who prefers him over Hayate's.

But, this might be OP. :x I know I'd love this though since I main both. XD

Schizophrenia is a classic in fighting games, but still. That would make Hayate much more appealing in my opinion.

As another thought, you could have the switch built into certain strings, like how mila can tackle or kokoro can switch up and throw.

That would be a cool animation for it. I've always thought Ein/Hayate was cool (he's my second favorite character), but I agree that this persona changing would make him more appealing to play.

Okay guys, I know people will probably make a fuss about it, but I would like to see your opinions on the merging of Hayate and Ein in DOA6. I am myself not 100% convinced but my reasoning is that these two seperate characters are boring while fusing them would create an exciting fighter. This is of course totally subjective.

I am not sure about the best option :
- either give Hayate all the moves Ein has that he does not have (7P, 33K, 4K, some holds, etc.)
- or create a Sheik/Zelda, offensive/defensive Vanessa configuration where you can switch the two movesets with a button or a taunt

Pros :
- Hayate would have an amazing catalogue with iconic costumes (thanks to Ein)
- TN would have no excuse NOT to bring Ein back, so no more cuts
- TN doesn't even plan to give Ein new tools anyway, Ein is abandonned
- that would be an interesting individuality for Hayate who is plain and boring (IMO)
- Hayate would have a new important and interesting story/role to explain that schizophrenia
- it would make more sense in the character selection since they are technically the same persona

Cons :
- people want their Ein intact, something I can totally understand
- it mathematically reduces the number of characters in the cast
- the "switch" thing would be hard to develop and use competitively
- why would they bother doing this ??!

I would rather have Hayate and Ein seperate, especially since ninjutsu =/= karate. I wouldn't mind if Hayate gets shades though. lol

I have bad feeling for some reason for Ryu and Zack. I am not sure but my gut feeling says me that ryu will get something like Hayates new dlc outfit ( sushi man ) + masked -.-

I'm sure that Ryu will take a Japanese traditional outfit in parallel with Hayate and personally I would be glad of a similar scenario (he could end to get an outfit similar to the NG3 introduction). By the way the only thing not sure if he will be unmasked or less...

By the way Hayate has a real formal outfit for the Japanese vestiary, not a sushi one XD.
If something it's the one of Akira's that could be associated with the cooking (maybe, I'm not sure).

I agree, but I don't think that they will do it ever, the only exception was DoA2 Millennium Edition/Hardcore with the new entries Helena against Ein, Leon, Tengu (+ the return of Bayman)

Without considering the VF guest stars that could never be more included in the roster, in the end DoA5U added to its original cast 1 guy (Rig) against 4 girls (Mila, Momiji, Rachel and Marie Rose).

WOW, I never realized we had so many female newcomers in DOA5[U(A)]. Plus Pai and Sarah...

A Korean soldier + Niki or Rio or Irene + 2 male newcomers + Tengu would totally do the trick.
2 female, 2 males, 1 boss.
