It could be. Not sure why the dead or alive page would be stating it as well then though. Seeing as hyrule warriors probably would have nothing to do with dead or alive, or it's characters.

With the new Zelda x Tecmo Koei on Wii U (and DOAD on 3DS), do you think Samus could appear in DOA6 if it was ever released on Wii U?

They said it on Facebook? Usually I read only what they say in the twitter page, but seem that for communicating with the Western fans they use much more often Facebook.
I would have loved Marie Rose playable before the end of the year, but honestly in this last time TN made really nice things with the DLC releases, able to content what seem to be the majority of the fanbase. So I don't think that we should appear ungrateful after all this, on the opposite we should think that more time TN use for receiving the feedback from DoA5UA, more it will be able to balance the game with the next update
(and btw I like Yaiba XD)
But this is true also for Xbox. The catalogues are there for the high requests from the fans (during DoA5) to have the possibility to see/make see the DLC outfits online also if both the players don't own it. So it's a favor that TN did to the players
My sweet guess :
-Marie-Rose released before the end of 2013, as an answer to Mr Harada's Eliza for Tekken
- new mode "volley bitch", hence the original poses in the "Sport Pack", teasing a future DOAX3!
- Zack Islands becomes tag-compatible, which will totally promote all these bikini DLCs in the past.
A volleyball mode and Zack Island becoming Tag compatible like many players requested are wishes that become true XD: the first is almost impossible, but I really hope that the Tag animation with Zack and Leon in the last trailer was there for hinting a similar change with the next update!
I would love Samus playable in the game, but at the same time I'm not too much fond of the exclusive characters in fighting games (if there is a guest, I hope that is playable in all the versions of the game).

It would be a great coup for TN if they had Samus for Wii U and Lara Croft for PS4/XboxOne. ^_^

I really liker the variation of her C1, more Team Ninja included in the site also an higher quality version of her picture posted yesterday on twitter:
Also, seem that this will be the final disposition of the DoA5UA roster (and very likely of the console versions after the update):
The random selection (dices) will go in the middle of the roster under Alpha 152, with the icon of Leon placed under Zack (that is one of his tag partner) and Hitomi.

They updated the site dedicated to the Arcade Edition that will be released the Christmas Eve (this was very likely the announcement mentioned by Emperor for today): the Santa outfit picture is thought to be fated to the Japanese players that will use her on the Arcade.

Christmas is celebrated around all the world (even if not necessarily the Christian one) and Santa Clause is an iconic figure. I don't have the certainty about, but considering how much anime or videogames I've seen displaying Santa Claus outfits, I think that the Japanese children know it just like the ones of the Europe and US.
However I correct me about the announcement: I don't think that could be related to Marie Rose and the Arcade out in Japan the 24th December, because TN talked of an announcement to do on their twitter page directly to the Western players (they talked in English for it).
