I mean... I understood the events of the DOA5 story. Maybe, I'm just weird...

OR MAYBE I'M CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY...

But, anyway, I think they would've been better off having the story in chronological order rather than trying to do it character by character. And I also think that trying to shoehorn a chapter for every character would have made it even worse.

I think Dimensions did the story thing fine, as it tried to explain all the events leading up to Dead or Alive 4. But with Dead or Alive 5, they had to continue the story, since Alpha-152 wasn't truly defeated in DOA4, IIRC. Yeah, the story is bad, but I always applaud any developer that tries to flesh out characters in their fighting games. Virtua Fighter is a different case, because the fact that there is a story, but the game focuses on the fighting exclusively is what makes the series unique.

Sindel, a lame-ass villain, killed everyone except Nightwolf (who killed himself) and Liu Kang (who was killed by FUCKING RAIDEN for trying to be a good guy). Oh, and Sonya and Johnny Cage lived for some reason.

Nobody liked that shitlord ending.

And once again, nothing you're talking about has to do with the lackluster ending.
Anyway, back on topic.

If they do indeed make a Casual Vol 3, who will be in it? Most of the people who didn't get a casual outfit got a Legacy one. Are they gonna luck out and get some Casual outfits, too? Or are they just gonna give Kasumi more outfits again?

Honestly, this was my reaction when i noticed Helena's Roman dress & mask-less Hayabusa sitting in the store waiting for my dropped funds

I reckon i took about three slow minutes just to redeem my code due to entering the wrong keys from sheer excitement haha.


Okay so now that we have some fan fave classics back such as Helena's Greek dress & maskless Hayabusa (still can't believe they're both back) what are your predictions for the next batch of legacy costumes?

To be honest, I'm pretty much sold now with what we've got but if i was to wish for a few more these would be the ones.

Actually, ALL the bad guys survived, I think. Except Shao Khan, Sindel, Shang Tsung, and Motaro.

On DOA....do you think TN will bother to patch in the option to toggle off headgear and accessories on past costumes that cant if we bug them about it enough? I so wanna take the headgear off Mila's red jacket and halloween outfits (And Leon's turban and bandanna), and actually wear the bandanna on her Bass cosplay.

I actually really like DOAs story! it's better than most other fighters I play. ( I don't play MK cause I've never liked it's playstyle, so I can't really voice an opinion on that. ) but in comparison to the other mainstream fighters, Tekken, SC, SF etc. I'd say it has a pretty good story.

Only game I can say I thought the storyline was better is BlazBlue, and that's because the story itself flows like an anime + has decisions and stuff. Multiple endings. Plays out like an RPG.
