Wow, i never could imagine Helena looks so good with that hair color! Damn, really beatiful!
I wouldn't blame the community (western at least). DOA has been sexualised since the first iteration and as far as I can remember during the release of doa5 I saw no requests on here, doaworld or on twitter to sexualise the characters further. Just take a look at these forums now and you will see 90% of the community is against the blatant sexualisation. If any part of the community was calling out for more sexualisation, I'm guessing it was the Asian community.
My theory is that TN wanted to market doa5 to the casual triple A gamers, but when they realised they weren't going to break that market they thought 'Fuck it, lets just go back to business as usual' and instead claimed that it was the community who wanted the sexualisation back..
And it's not just the consumers' fault. By that logic every game and every film etc. would be pornographic by now. But they're not.The developers can chose what to give us and what not. I too think, they are harming DOA's reputation as a decent fighter with all that sleazy sluttyness.
Mila's red hair is realistic though... Christie and Ayane already had their hair color before the game got realistic. And even if it had always been realistic, it's fitting of their character. Helena has no reason to dye her hair pink, and in my opinion, that's just stupid. Like, of all people in the whole world, why would Helena dye her hair pink? She's not rebellious. Plus, she has class, fame, and money. She is elegant. Her long blonde hair is elegant, not dyed pink.Leifang had blue hair during DOA1 and also in some versions of DOA2. She had purple hair in some costumes in DOA1.
If they are really going for "realistic", then shouldn't Mila, Christie or Ayane just flaunt their "real" hair color rather than have red highlights, white or purple hair colors?
Why can't Helena have a striking hair color for once? Are they the only ones entitled to sport them off? She already got a bow that looks barely visible in most of 5/5U's dark stages.
Dyed red hair isn't unrealistic though. I know 3 girls with dyed red hair, yet I've never met anyone with purple or dyed white hair.
It's pretty "realistic" to me, that a tough, rebellious girl gives red streaks to her hair. Also it's realistic, that crazy Zack would dye his hair green or Tina dying her hair from brunette to blonde. What's not realistic: Helena dying her hair pink. It just does not fit her character...like at all!

If it ain't Code Chronos I will burn everything in sight.TN are working on a ps4 title >>> http://gematsu.com/2014/02/team-ninja-developing-playstation-4-game
Could be doa6, ng4, doax3 or maybe something new.
I better hide the matches thenIf it ain't Code Chronos I will burn everything in sight.
Helena: Kokoro, since we are now are having our sisterly bonding i would like you do dye my hair a bit brighter
Kokoro: Okay, Helena!!
20 minutes after
Kokoro: Helena, i accidentally put pomegranate juice in the bleach...
Helena: SACRE BLEU!!!
noInteresting there's no mention of xbox one.
Looks like TN really is making the gradual conversion over to Sony.
i was so excited when they first announced that and omg your icon is killing meIf it ain't Code Chronos I will burn everything in sight.

To be fair, you could technically say that Dimensions took inspiration from the canceled Code Chronos project. After all, Dimensions not only sheds light BEFORE the DOA tournaments, but also recounts DOA1-4.If it ain't Code Chronos I will burn everything in sight.

It doesn't have to mean she's a rebel, I'm just saying she doesn't have a reason to do it, like Mila or Ayane. Lemme use an example. Imagine if Kasumi dyed her hair green. Why did Kasumi dye her hair green? It's not fitting of her character, it doesn't make sense, and in general, it's just a big why.Why must pink hair have to mean or look rebellious to you? When did hair colors had any definition? Not all people with colored hair are labelled as a rebel. I'm sorry but that's just so passé and judgmental.
One can still be as elegant as Helena is with it. Elegance is a feeling that you exude regardless of what your hair color is. You can be a brunette, redhead, silver-haired or whatever your color is and still be classy. Hair color is not a determinant of what's elegant or not.
If they ever nerf Ayane and you still have that avatar please post:
"TEAM NINJA LEAVE AYANE ALONE!!!"
and I will piss my pants. lol XD

Dimensions is fucking trash will always be trash will never amount to anything but trash that game does not exist to me it basically retconned the ~entire~ series do not speak of that filth. To be fair, you could technically say that Dimensions took inspiration from the canceled Code Chronos project.
