I agree. I really like Marie Rose's design (even though it's not the most original one). She will definitely enhance the female stereotypes portrayed in DOA so far (they can't all be bombshells) BUT they'd better not sexualize her too much. I' dont want to see any dental floss bikinis on her or gravure scenes, where she sticks her child-buttocks right in the camera.

You do realize that since the character is fictional, the law really makes about as much sense as saying that Jerry Sandusky went on his little *ordeal* because he saw Bart Simpson's "junk" during the movie.
The entire MR ordeal is a hilarious, thinly veiled "fuck you" to Sweden and I think it was classy. That said, they can handle this with dignity or not with dignity. Kasumi doesn't have any dental floss swimsuits and I'm pretty sure that MR won't either.

I feel like the people that keep saying they don't want Marie Rose to be sexualized are the ones that are secretly scared they might be pedophiles themselves lol. Loli's are almost always the most entertaining characters in Japanese media and reducing Marie Rose down to nothing more than a fetish before we know anything about her is stupidly counterproductive. I trust TN will be responsible with her due to the cultural differences between Japan and the rest of the world, especially the US but I don't want them to feel like they need to censor themselves.

I'm sorry, but I think that's taking it a bit too far. It's entirely reasonable for people to be put off by her, without being labeled as a possible closet pedophile.
That said, I do think there have been vast overreactions to her. I can see why people would be uncomfortable; what I can't see is why people would react as if she's an actual, real, existing child.
I haven't seen that happening here.
Then again, I have half the forum on my ignore list, so a lot gets said that I don't know about.

The point is still valid. There are shitloads of Kim Possible porn out there on the net (and no, I won't link to it). Looking at it doesn't make you a child molester. Sweden's law is borderline ridiculous, especially since a character's age is just two digits on a piece of paper or a monitor. Ayane does not look 16 years old, she looks 22. For a game to be BANNED because it *might* be construed as such is stupid, so what does TN do? Make a character that looks even younger, say she's 18 so the Swedes can't do anything and put her in the game. It would be different if there was explicit sex, actual full blown nudity or if the characters looked like 12-year olds.
Did you watch The Simpsons Movie? Showing off Bart Simpson's ass and dick would fall under the laws of child porn under this law.
Marie Rose is a creative act of revenge similar to painting a pig on a cop car.

But other then that great addition to the cast, and judging by the audience and the game she's gonna be a huge hit. I'm only half joking typing this but we'd probably see Marie Rose boob pad sooner then Rachel boob bad.
