Well on the other hand I have to stay clear of mechanics discussions, due to
A) my unfamiliarity with the terminology
And
B) my utter disgust and contempt towards giant long combos, which most "serious discussion" is usually about. As well as my irritation at the more retarded things like downward jabs inexplicably making people pop straight up when it was neither the right angle nor a heavy enough attack to produce that result, even by the games own logic...

So I'm mostly in this or costume design thread. Id be in vid/photo threads more but they crash my mobile browser.

I think rig, mila, Leon and mostly all the guys got recent English voices. Tina too.

The logical response is always "remove infinites" and I have yet to see a solid argument against that response.

Fine we can talk a little less casual I guess. :rolleyes: So I was able to play Phase 4 for the first time for a little bit before I was once again pulled away from my 360 and she is by no means a shitty fighter. Yes you have to play more defensively with her but once you open your opponent up the damage she racks up is just ridiculous (if I could just get those damn teleports down pat I need more practice. XD)

I'm torn. I love milas voice in English but prefer almost everyone else in Japanese. That plus milas "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" Kp scream is grating.

It's a really superficial argument and generally the reason no one finds a good objection to it is because they don't interrogate it.

People play her all wrong. Her biggest advantage, imo, is one that to this day no one has addressed (at least to me), even the top players who have talked to me about the character.

When have any of the dub actors in this game been any good? Of course Nyotengu's is gonna suck. I don't care though because I'll still be playing with her awesome Japanese voice.

If casting her dub voice were up to me though, I'd have them use various pre-recorded files of Robin Sachs' various video game roles and just randomly place those on all her attacks.

Doesn't make sense, you say? Who cares? Robin Sachs was awesome.

No. I'm just able to look at the character from angles that others don't consider, which is probably a result of my past experiences and mindset regarding the game.

She's actually quite fun, but I won't be picking her up "seriously" for several reasons.

Phase 4 is like lower mid tier at best, because she has so many things going against her. My Eliot was able to blast through everything she tried to throw at me. I know her combos and BnBs, so countering her before she starts her teleporting spectacles is second nature to me.

I agree. Phase 4 is fun to play as... certainly more fun than Kasumi.

Grab games are really fucking important to me though, and I don't like her grab game... I find it predictable and annoying.

Tiers mean nothing in high level play (unless you're Eliot... :(). But are you sure you're fighting P4 players who know how to use her? :confused:

Tiers mean nothing to me, period. My Eliot can be anyone in any tier. Phase 4 is fun to play as, don't get me wrong, but she's still subpar. Out of the Kasumi clones, she's at the bottom, Kasumi is in the middle, and Alpha-152 is on top.
