It really doesn't help that her offensive pressure is pretty terrible. Worse frames than Kasumi with no high-low mixup and no ability to bamf on guard. All she has is decent range, a 9-frame jab, and ludicrous damage.

So far pretty average, no bad MUs except the usual suspects although she can deal with Helena's shenanigans pretty well. Playing vs Alpha is almost comical. Also may be strong against Brad and Leon but need to play more of them. I wanna say P4 too but no one uses her

She's not really weak against anyone except Christie and Ayane. Against Christie it's tough to create space and Ayane can be hard to hit in general. Hayabusa doesn't have anything that destroys Tengu. I do notice a lot of people trying to teleport against me but it doesn't accomplish anything since I rarely use wind
Where other characters have string mix-ups Ryu is typically limited to free-cancel shenanigans up close. That's no different here, except that Nyo's speed makes it abnormally difficult for her to poke out of these mix-ups. Ryu is controlling the pace of the match up close and at long rage, with a fairly neutral mid-range game going between them. Add to this that Ryu has the better defensive options and several rather unique tools that interfere with Nyo's traditional set-ups, and you have a match-up that hardly seems even.

I would also posit a 5-5 or 4.5-5.5 between Nyotengu and Momiji. From what I've learned, Momiji seems to dominate close combat on speed, safety, and crushes that lead to that wonderful Tenku P that keeps the bird lady close. Nyotengu has a slightly stronger long-range game simply because it's where she wants to keep most of the cast, and Momiji only has a few options to approach. Mid-range is a strange balance between Momiji's frames and Nyo's stuns and offensive holds. Nyotengu's damage output is also higher in all three departments.

I suspect that Hitomi can fuck up NyoTengu in close as well. When Hitomi gets her pressure going, Tengu's not pushing many buttons. Also Hitomi's not exactly hurt during the range game. Run up Deathfist can also stuff 4P+K shenanigans well.

no way nyotengu has a favorable match up over leon, he easily beats her in cqc since even with his GBs that leave him at -1 his 3p/6k equal her fastest mids in speed but since they do more damage he still beats out all her mid/low options and the only attack she can outpoke leon from is her unsafe P+K which he can easily crush with either 2p,1p and 33p,.
damage-wise Leon also beats her in pretty much every category, higher damage throws, higher damage attacks, superior environmental use and being able to maximize damage on her from launches due to her middle weight class while she can't against him being a super heavy. the one area where she trumps him is in the spacing/range game so she pretty much has to play like Ein and play keep out and hopes Leon can't get in on her since he can simply guardbrerak the shit out of her leaving her with very few offensive options to deal with him

The few things NyoTengu has over Leon is a launching low throw with ceiling slam property, a tracking mid launcher and range. On the other hand, she's a mid-weight character and easy to juggle and Leon is still going to outpoke her.
Having used her, I see this being mostly in Leon's favor. I won't put a number on it, but it's at best a slight advantage for Leon in most cases.

Jesus, these biased matchup numbers. How did it end up that Pai is above Akira.
Nobody's really gone over Akira's matchups, so every one that hasn't been covered yet is considered 5 - 5. Not many people play him and it seems like most people knowledgeable enough to be able to write out a list of matchups don't want to contribute for one reason or another.
Just to clarify, I could write these matchups myself, but I don't feel like I'm experienced or knowledgeable enough a player to do so.
Honestly, Pai is better than what people give her credit for. She doesn't dish out a bunch of damage across the board. She has what you would look for in a character offensively & defensively up close with fast pokes, fast jabs, etc. She has better crushes than what Kasumi does. A few others as well.
