Behold! I name this..........The 'Friendzoned Build'. Now you are near immortal for the vast majority of the game and deny majority of the enemies who are trying to build a relationship with you in combat.

Basically the build revolves around Quen and high intensity to keep it infinite and gaining stamina+adrenaline in return (Quen is the shield one for those that are unfamiliar with the name) as well as character ability points invested into Precise Blows, Crippling Strikes, Flood of Anger, Razor Focus, Resolve, Exploding Shield, Active Shield, Quen Discharge, Quen Intensity, Adrenaline Burst, and finally Focus.

When you attack, you gain adrenaline points.
When you take damage you don't lose any adrenaline points. You actually gain adrenaline for taking damage with Quen active.
When you attack and cause bleeding to them (Crippling strikes/Square) they are likely to succumb to fatal blows and critical hits more often. More fatal blows/Critical hits = restores 25% of your stamina. More stamina = More Sign/Attack/Dodge usage. More Sign/Attack usage = more Adrenaline back in return for Flood of Anger to kick in and increase Quen sign intensity to 125% once more. In short, the enemy is doomed.

(Without the Flood of Anger nerf this would of been possible to get an endless amount of intensity and kill anything in sight, but they fixed the endless intensity glitch so the barrier can still break from certain enemies in the game such as the Golem's ground pound which is still a lift on Geralt so it will break automatically no matter what. However, none of it truly matters since the A.I enemies are not exactly intelligent anyway..so you can just bring up another shield if you wanted due to your high stamina returns from fatal blows.

This helped me complete the game on the hardest difficulty no problem. I may make a video of it since I don't see it on Youtube or site guides/forums, so I figured I should post it.

Don't even get me started with these by the way:

Basically the odds are in your favor no matter how hard the enemies are. If you are looking to go for higher difficulty setups just to get it over with, you can try these. If you are looking to enjoy the story on your next game with nothing standing in your way never fear! Quen will do the work for you (unless you are really bad at the game, which I doubt).

If you are playing the game on easy mode, you will probably feel like a god when you make eye contact with an enemy. It's moments like these where you'll find a human/monster and say:

Happy day everyone and enjoy.

@Everyone who already finished Blood and Wine, there is something pretty interesting that apparently many did miss...
It is the fact that Orianna (the rich Beauclair resident who is actually a vampire and runs an orphanage for blood supply) is indeed the female vampire that Geralt slew in the Witcher 3 cinematic launch trailer:

I immediately recognized Orianna by her facial features and voice when she was introduced in Blood and Wine on the party that Geralt and the Duchess attend. At that point I thought that they might have changed her role completely or simply reused her character model and voice actress. (@Jadeinchains, you remember me musing about this?) But near the end of the game we do learn that she is indeed a vampire, that she is evil and that she also sings the nursery rhyme of the trailer (and the main menu of Blood and Wine).
In the game Geralt does let her get away unfortunately (which really annoyed me) but he tells her that he will one day come back for her. Even then I still thought they might have changed the story and her character and that the old trailer wasn't canonical anymore. But then I rewatched the launch trailer again and now I am sure that what we see in the trailer is Geralt coming back for her at a later point in time. Certain details make this obvious:

- When Orianna hears Geralt's voice and smells his scent she doesn't seem surprised at all.
- The moment that she recognizes him she's getting ready to fight him.
- Geralt tells her he hasn't heard the song (the nursery rhyme) for a long time.
- After killing her he rides back to Toussaint where his contractor was located or where he found his home in the meantime.

This detail really shows how much care and thought CD Projekt Red really but in this whole game project from start to finish. Everything was already planned and is intertwining in the course of the game, it's expansions and even seemingly random trailers. :)

There is also another interesting detail that shows this attention to detail and thoroughly planning from start to finish...
The villain of Hearts of Stone, Gaunter O'Dimm, is not just introduced as one of the first characters in the base game, but is also referenced in the Blood and Wine questline of the woman that was cursed into the spoon collecting wight. When Geralt asks the woman about who the man was that cursed her, she tells him he was a beggar...that sold mirrors (which is kind of an odd trade). And as we learned in Hearts of Stone: Gaunter O'Dimm is also sometimes called the Man of Glass or Master Mirror.

Yeah so I guess we could consider it canon that a while after the end of the story Gersalt went back to do that, I do love the amount of small details they add to the game no matter how subtle.

By the way, yesterday evening I finally started reading the Witcher books (the ones that tell Geralt's story) and I am really loving it so far. If I had to describe it, it is like a nice blend of Lord of the Rings meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Sherlock Holmes meets the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales. I was actually surprised how many fairy tale and legend references are in there and how some of the stories do have an Arthur Conan Doyle touch in the way they are told and unraveled at the end. From now on I call Geralt's "witcher sense" the "detective mode". XD

Speaking of scenery, are there images from the worlds Avallac'h was taking you? I found those to be rather impressive. It's unearthly yet grand, especially the desert canyon.

Slowly making my way through velen now, forgot how massive this game is. I intended on just rushing through the main story/sidequest to get to the new DLC but i just can't ignore the damn question marks. plus the recommended level for both dlc quests double in NG+ so i have to wait till im damn near lvl 70 to do them anyway and im only 50 right now.

some more pics

Without the overdone depth of field blur, stark contrast and heavy film grain effect this would look amazing. I think I'll never understand why people mod their games to look like Instagram Land. ;)

I was disappointed to find out you can't do another New Game+ with another New Game+ file, was trying to make it a New Game++ to make my life easier on collecting the missing trophies however the game wouldn't allow it, this game would of had a perfect replay value if this was enabled. If acquiring levels were easier this wouldn't be a problem and not feel the need to make a New Game+ run.

I agree, the new game + is pretty shitty. I just would like to keep my badass armors and swords, not looking like a complete n00b again. Everything else they can reset. No wait, I'd like to keep my money too since it is hard to get by in the game but Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine do make you really poor.

@Jadeinchains, I collected about 500k via the bee and armorer glitch but now I am down to 300k. How did you manage with your lousy 60k? XD

By the way. I finished the main story already some days ago, but there is still quest after quest popping up. And some of them are really lengthy, interesting and...rewarding. XD

Lol, where am I'm going to hang this? Can't hang it in the bedroom, that would be too narcissistic. ;)

In fact, it slightly killed my mood to even acquire them. I don't think I have my old data and if I did it's probably still within 30/40s range while the NG+ is around 90s. I would like to tweet them actually about NG+ for a NG++. I mean, I have some cool sets with white/black armor dye to make it look vastly different than another.

Sigh, such is fate.

Oh, there is another thing where they ruined a great reward with something stupid, at least for me...
Big Blood and Wine spoiler incoming:
At the end of the base game story I felt utterly alone because everybody disappeared from the world except Dandelion in his cabaret/brothel. (But I don't like Dandelion. Even though in the books he actually is Geralt's bestie.) Beating Blood and Wine you are rewarded with someone dear to you staying with you at your vineyard forever. Which is exactly what I would have hoped for. Never alone again! :D But unfortunately Toussaint lies partly in ruins after the ending...and isn't as carefree as before. :( So I rather went back to an old save before the ending to experience the rest of my time in the Witcher world. Seriously why would you ruin the most beautifully designed game world ever created, CD Projekt Red?! D:

I'm managing to make my money last it really is ridiculous though how much some stuff costs to the point that you could never afford them legitimately. And maybe I'm just blind but I don't think anything has stayed ruined in my version of Bleaclair? I do love the quests I've done do far in Touissant they are definitely very different.

Is it just my game that is bugged? ;__; Can you please check following for me?

I think I already told you that the background music stopped playing...guess, that is a legit bug. :/ They'll probably fix it. But can you maybe check if:
- the facades of the houses facing the bridge (with the sitting statues) to the castle are still charred?
- the festive tents and the stage for troubadours are still on the largest square of the city?
- the fire with the corpses of all the vampires is still burning on the tournament grounds?
Especially the huge black smoke column looks so ugly from afar. D:

Oh sorry I didn't see this, I'll go check now!

Okay in the spoiler is what my game is like.

Okay I've checked and the music still plays and the buildings aren't charred, I don't remember exactly what it looked like before but the main square isn't destroyed but I can't find tents or a stage. And the tourney grounds have the black smoke with the vampires. It is strange that they kept them and I think they should release a patch that removes them.
