The idea to give Hayate Ein's clothes was thrown around in this thread. I think that it will probably look kinda silly on him because of his Ninja fighting pose. Give it to Rig for a joke about amnesiac characters. It would look fine on Hitomi as well.

Definitely support Christie getting her orange fire trouser/skeleton top thingy up there. Wish they'd make the top a bit longer though, it's cut so severely it'd clearly snap in a strong wind

Though really at this point we're basically just listing off every costume that's ever been in DOA... and of course if the next DLC is lots of old costumes returning, people will complain about TN recycling outfits and not making new ones!

I know a lot of characters have not gotten costumes either, but Ayane seems to be the odd girl out being the only female without a new costume. If they are giving her one or two I am really wishing for something cute or sexy as opposed to just an alternate ninja outfit.

It's in accordance to Hayashi's "no character DLC" stance, his desire for a Ryo cameo and the business motif of post DOA5 release (charging for costumes). As someone mentioned earlier, Shenmue was originally supposed to be a Virtua Fighter RPG, with Akira = Ryo. Also, in VF:FS you can customize Akira in a Ryo costume, as well as fight an offline DLC character named "RYO" (Akira in said costume). The connection to Ryo's costume is there, and it's not unheard of for that sort of thing, really.

That being said, Ryo's "Hazuki" style largely resembles Akira's the most, albeit a mix of numerous other arts. Not to mention it's too much of a coincidence to have Yu Suzuki provide an interview on his (promo) thoughts of DOA5 pre-release. I'm guessing that was the time Team NINJA asked Yu Suzuki (he still acts as an advisor for SEGA) or his studio for Ryo's likeness, and figured since he was there to help provide hype.

But my hunch is that Hayashi announcing his Ryo cameo desires was pretty much just hype for a Ryo costume DLC. I'm guessing it'll be one of the last costumes released, as the "OMG RYO (kinda) IN A DOA GAME!" will have an article on various gaming sites for easy publicity. It's just smart business.
