Is anyone coming for sure tomorrow? If no one's going, then I'll just come the usual time Wednesday, but if someone is gonna be there, then I need to know what time because I have a good portion of the day free so I can make pretty much any time after 3pm.

I'll be there RoboJoe. As for me, I'll generally tell you when I'm not there! I've gotten sick of online up late that I'll try to come in on Mondays now for practise. An Akira player from New York named Brandon should be coming tomorrow (I'm impressed by his commitment to come out!) and he'll be sure to prove to be a challenge to anyone!

Hopefully Harry, and possibly Hunter can come tomorrow because I want to get as many setups as possible tomorrow. Unfortunately last week was Luca's last week before leaving for Ottawa. I'll miss playing his Helena and Christie, they were quite solid and a good challenge! I should be in before 5 tomorrow.

Good games to everyone today, managed to shake off some rust, but input errors and dropped combos were plentiful on my end. Anyway, 240 life is so much fun. I honestly don't think I can go back to 300 or even 270 anymore. I'm looking forward to the tournament on the 15th especially since it's going to be using 240 life.

Yeah, GGs to all I played to today. Got in a good set with everyone but Harry today (we'll play next time!). Brandon seems to impress me everytime I play him. Superb Kokoro & Akira. It's official, 240 HP is what DOA5U needs in order to elevate itself to the next level competitively. Everything gameplay wise falls into place when playing with 240 HP. Movement, spacing, poking, and punishment all become significant to the point where a misplaced poke or a missed punishment opportunity can cost you dearly (I.e. the round). Throw punishment is devastating and satisfying. The increased hold damage is actually a fair tradeoff to the increased throw damage since you won't be encountering many "random" holds in 240 HP. And yeah, Alpha's 236236T on Hi-counter is very LOL xD.

I will post a couple matches later (likely to my account and/or here) to give a visual of what 240 HP is like in terms of gameplay. It almost completely changes the way how DOA5U is played for the better.

@RoboJoe Luca was the "white guy" who uses Helena & Christie.

About the health issue, I agree with Gary, 240 creates a much better game overall!

Here are some details for the upcoming Dec. 15th Final Impact 2 tournament hosted by TorontoTopTiers.

Venue: A&C World (702a Spadina Ave. Toronto, near Bloor and Spadina)
Doors open at 12PM
Registration starts at 12PM - 2PM (Tournaments will commence once the TD is ready)
Venue Fee: $10
Entry Fee: $10 (possibly $5)
All games are: Best 3 out of 5 sets
Double Elimination Format
Recommended Health setting: SMALLEST health (240 HP)
Note: Dojo & Home stage are possibly banned in 240 HP
Time Limit: 60 seconds
Character Lock for Winner only

I will continue to test 240 HP, but may also sample 270 HP, particularly on the Home stage. I recommend that people come out tomorrow if possible in order to get more feedback from multiple players and characters.

Congratulations to Force of Nature for getting 1st place at Final Impact 2. Good games to everybody that showed up.

Also, I finally realized why I was so cold throughout the whole thing (in case anyone watching the stream was wondering why I was wearing a thick jacket indoors). It wasn't the cold, it was weakness from hunger. I felt 100x better after I ate. I dropped a few combos from numb fingers due to poor circulation and I'm not gonna let that happen ever again. On top of that, the tiredness really affected me while I was commentating. I hope I didn't sound too bored or something.

GGs today at Final Impact 2! Didn't get quite as good a turnout as CECC but still had some great matches. The weather unfortunately deterred some people from coming out. Congratulations to all that participated including Harry that did quite well for his first tourney going toe-to-toe with Teevo! Congrats to Teevo and RoboJoe for runners up. Matches were streamed this time and will be posted when available!

Since there were no casuals this week, we'll have the last session of the year on Mon. Dec 23rd. I'm hoping to get as many people as possible on that day. I'll try to arrive early as usual to claim spots. I'll bring P4A too if anyone would be open to facing my scrubby Liz. Let's end off the year right! If A&C is open on Dec 30th, I'll too come on that day also. LET'S GO PEOPLE!
